Oh how I love Beriko sensei's work. Their art is so gorgeous I can't get over it. This particular collection of one shots has such a great balance between sweet and spicy in its romances, it's just... on point.
• 1st chapter: Brothel owner x money lender. (★★★★★)
This first story could've definitely been longer. I love its characters and a longer, slow burning romance would be so satisfying. Either way, this is very, very good.
• 2nd chapter: Young master x his tutor. (★★★☆☆)
Eehh... I wasn't very comfortable with this story, not precisely because of the age difference, but considering the older guy was the young master's tutor, they must have know one another for a good while, which is kind of icky and didn't let me get really into it. But, eh, what the hell, it was cutesy, I give you that.
• 3rd chapter: The story of an author and the guy who brings him food... or something. (★★★★☆) I didn't really get the setting for this, but... it was cute. I liked it.
• 4th chapter: Author x his flatmate/househusband. (★★★★☆) Very nice, nothing much to say about it. I liked the conflict "neko-chan" has about his appearence and age and it was all nicely tied up.
• 5th chapter: Artist x his art dealer. (★★★★☆) I thought this one was the weakest of the bunch, but I really can't say why. Their dilemma just seems kinda confusing to me? Idk, I just couldn't care much about them. But the ex-prostitute assistant is by far the best character, so this story gets an extra star.
