A complex story of love (or more like co-dependence) between a Yakuza and a piano player. While the artist is not noted for complex facial expressions on her characters, this story is interesting, and you find yourself hoping for a happy ending.

Deals with so much history. The rise of AIDS, the war in Afghanistan and life in that awkward period of the early '80's to the early '90's.

A lovely story, sweet and sad, and the last story just stabbed me right in the heart. Strong feels.

The first story is an absolute heartbreaker. Other stories are sad, twisted or moody. Still and all, a good read.

This one will wring your heart and squeeze out every last drop. Worth reading.

The story is sad, depressing and yet is full of the pathos that we can't always control who we fall in love with. A man becomes a cop to gain recognition from his detective father, but instead finds love and acceptance with the man he was assigned to befriend in a sting operation. The artwork can seem crude at times, but the emotions come through. A good read, but be warned, the theme is very dark indeed.
