A truly touching story, you can feel the grief Mike carries from losing his beloved husband. He wants to connect to his husband's surviving twin and his family because they're the only ones who share his memories of his husband and loved him in turn. I like how this realistically portrays the relationship Mike develops with his husband's twin and Kana, the daughter.

The story with the high school kids was a sad one, I could feel the longing in that one boy who was so desperate for love. I know his sensei had to be that way with him, because it was reality in terms of the age gap and their lives, but still it was so hard for him.
