Sumire's manga / #abuse(4)

Feels like it's missing a volume in the middle to tie the whole story together. Last chapters - the son of the abuser is friendly with the bodyguard - and both the male leads in the first story end up in marriage (presumably denying their relationship) so you feel kinda 'what was the point?' The whole revenge arc is missing - which is why this feels incomplete.

Sasayaku no wa Sono Yubi

A story which once again perpetuates the myth that a lover which tolerates the abuse will somehow convert their abuser to a caring person. Not much to recommend this story. Triggers galore.

Kowarekake No Omocha

Complete | Cj Michalski | 2005 released

The "Toy" series ended up being rather depressing. The uke was pretty much being physically and emotionally abused - too much Stockholm Syndrome and not enough feels. The childhood rival/friends/kidnapping story was funny.

Koi No Mannaka

Complete | matsumoto miecohouse | 2008 released

It's hard to decide whether I hate Matsubara or pity him. I guess someone who has been abandoned that young would probably not have developed sense of empathy, so I feel so sad for that child. On the other hand the uke, Ichinoise, is a psychological doormat. But somehow he manages to retain his true sense of self. As usual from this author a heart-tugging story of love and pain and sex, well worth reading.
