Kudan no Kuroneko
The first series of stories is the saddest, with unrequited love (or is it a different kind of love?) the death of a parent in WWII and a priest having to sully his hands with bloodshed, separating him from his beloved diety forever. The last story is pure comedy, related to the first stories. Actually, this concept of dieties and priests being in relationships is intriguing, and the concept of children being born from the 'crystal of love' developed between the two would make a nice series. Beautiful (sometimes too beautiful) art adds to the likeability of this collection.
Amefurashi - Shunu Ni Shippori To Nureru, Ooedo Renaitan
This woman can draw so lyrically, and her writing (no one is ever a passive character, or lacking in depths) - I love everything she does.
