I enjoyed reading it but the story had any number of places it failed...maybe because it was an adaptation from a novel that wasn't a romance, so it was kind of forced, and there were events that had no explanation and didn't quite fit into the story...

Wish the mandaka could have written this at the length she wanted. I would have liked to see a romance for the other brother as well...but that's just my happy ending addiction. Interesting to read about the philosophical underpinnings of the Japanese royal family...
