I think everyone can agree that this manga became an instant classic and is seriously one of the most beautiful manga out there. And it's honestly just amazingly, beautifully simple in both the art, its characters, the story lines, and so on. You can say it's somewhat cliche, but I think that it's just the portrayal of simple, human desire. Definitely a must-read for everyone.

I started reading this manga in 2009, and I remember reading a comment then about the joy of not only seeing the character development but also how the author’s art and writing developed. And with ten years reading this on and off, I understand that joy. There’s just something about the story that I haven’t been able to find in any other. I’ve come to love and cry with the characters as I grew up with them. Especially Misaki now that I’m a university student too trying to find a way to live my life. This manga always changes me, inspires me, helps me, and heals me when I read it. Here’s to the coming years with everyone!
