Really sweet and gut wrenching first season and a great second season. told from seme's perspective! seme is hot and slightly self-centred lol. uke is cute and a bit kuudere except when he's with seme and everything shows on his face. basically they went to same middle school and high school. uke always liked seme cuz seme was popular and handsome. one time he ate uke's cookies and uke liked him even more. uke transferred in high school and confessed before he left. gave some cookies too. seme was in a bad mood after some rude bitch tried to rile him up and took it out on uke. so since then, for 10 years, seme would have dreams of that day and have a bad day whenver he had the dream. one day he sees uke working in a bakery and is encouraged by his friend to make peace with uke over that so he will stop his guilty conscience. he starts acting friendly with uke and pretends not to remember their past. uke is cold at first but still attracted to seme, so easily gets close and friendly. then seme kisses uke while drunk and uke thinks they like each other. but seme says no and rejects uke again. now uke is really upset and tries to break off all contact with seme. seme thinks for a while and realizes he is sad without uke and tries to win uke bad. uke is like stonewalling him and so hard to watch these parts! but uke can't take it anymore one day and can't stomach standing seme up, so he goes to meet seme and seme confesses everything and uke sees seme really likes him for real and they start dating. they move in together fast after that and seme wants to have sex. uke does too but thinks seme doesn't so he tries to hold it in and starts acting a bit distant. seme gets hurt by it and in the end they talk it out and have sex. super rough on uke for his first time......... i honestly felt like it was almost rapey but i guess that's just the korean style. after that there's drama with a new guy working at uke's bakery. he is gay and kinda into uke. uke totally doesn't realize cuz he's only got eyes for seme. seme shows off their relationship to the dude and eventually the dude's contract is up and he leaves. last drama is with seme feeling insecure cuz suddenly uke is acting cold out in public again. it's cuz uke doesn't want bad rumours to start about seme but seme thought uke doesn't like him anymore. there's a big buildup to a scene of seme crying cuz he's so anxious uke is gonna leave him. and he mistakes uke's sister's bf/fiance as uke's new man lol. anyway again they talk it out. uke says he wants to be with seme forever and last longer than seme's previous relationships which only lasted 1-2 years each. then seme goes to get couple rings for them and tadah that's the end!! really sweet and well wrapped up i think.

i love this so fucking much. hits right with the story, character dynamics, art, unique setting, and everything. only at the end i would take a point off cuz the seme never says he likes uke and they're not in a confirmed relationship. they just have sex and hang out a lot i guess......wtf that sounds bad but they're bad at being direct so maybe both understand the relationship without saying. i just like to see things stated plainly. so this is not exactly uni, but a training for the national rescue team or something. first they met in firefighter academy after high school. seme saw uke as his rival and kinda hated how good uke was at everything while being fakely humble about it. uke only started to act that way cuz his previous bfs kept telling him they felt bad being next to him and him being so high achieving. honestly those dudes have got to go, not uke's fault. uke came to love seme because he felt himself with seme. he was pushed to do better. he relied on seme's presence to be himself really. but ofc he never said anything and they graduated firefighter academy. some years later, both are not training for the special rescue team. they get into training and are on the same team. also living next to each other temporarily for training. one night they're drinking with friends at seme's apartment and the friends take over seme's bed so uke invites seme over with some not so innocent intentions. they banter and uke accidentally reveals he's gay and seme gets kinda brazen about it and pisses uke off by saying he's like a woman taking it from men. uke pushes seme down and touches seme to prove a point that he can fuck men too. seme gets mad and pushes uke down and touches him back. seme is like oh crap sorry but uke desperately asks seme to continue and seme does. after that both are really bothered by what happened and spend several sleepless nights. it starts to affect their training and one night uke goes to see seme to talk it out i guess. they banter and kind of make up and fall asleep together outside at the school lol. after that their team decides to go on a trip to a mountain to celebrate the ending of their training. they discover an old man fallen off the side of the mountain lol and rescue him. but in the process, uke and seme fall down the mountain. there uke cries for seme, thinking he is too injured to continue training. seme realizes uke really loves him and asks uke directly. before uke can react and they were gonna kiss, their friends find them and bring them back. turns out seme is not injured badly at all lol. and at home they have sex cuz it's clear now they both like each other and uke just can't believe seme is doing it with him while sober and it's honestly beautiful. we get a cute extra of them graduating from training and going home and uke being horny and wanting sex and seme trying to awkwardly seduce him too. but this is where i realized they are still so bad at communication and they're not in a fucking relationship and it became like 9/10. the little extras showing them after are cute though so i guess that kind of makes up for me wondering if they're even together now. maybe this author has a tendency for this type of open ending??? and now another extra came out showing them going camping and calling each other by first names and seme being jealous of uke talking to other guys.

bro this is as much of a masterpiece as i remember it to be and now i can't wait for vol 2. they were senpai and kouhai in high school baseball club, but senpai seme didn't really remember helping uke. however it left a huge impression on uke and he's basically been in love with seme ever since. uke has an opportunity to tutor seme's sister and does. he gets kinda close to seme and confesses his feelings. seme first blows him off and pretends not to understand, but then sees uke sniffing his suit jacket and then when thinking about never seeing uke again, is pained so he asks uke out. they are dating, but he's not good at expressing his feelings. uke thinks he's holding seme back from a normal straight relationship. seme just doesn't know how to express his feelings from the heart, instead putting on some acts like what he thinks a lover should be like. uke breaks up with seme and seme can't even say anything to save himself...... cuz uke said his feelings were just admiration and not love anyway and seme was hurt and didn't know what to say. anyway, after some talking to by his little sis, seme gets his shit together and goes to see uke at his apartment and they make up after some resistance lol. after some time we see them having sex for the first time, it was such a natural progression of some kissing and touching before. and it's just really cute and sweet overall. i wish uke had more of a personality, but this shy uke thing was still popular 10 years ago when this was released.

this is so good, and the third vol is actually worthwhile. no annoying conflicts. lots of sex. uke is too tsundere for my taste, but still acceptable lol. it's funny too, especially in the beginning when uke loved the random plain straight guy. uke 24, seme 17. anyway, gist of the story is seme and uke have an encounter one night where drunk uke saves seme from some dudes hitting him for playing with a girl. seme was actually faithful to the girl but the girl cheated on him and caused problems. after that they talk at a bar and seme falls in love. he thinks about uke so hard he manifests a lustful spirit of himself that goes to visit uke. spirit thinks it's a dream so keeps fucking uke and stuff. uke sees seme in real life and realizes the dude is not just a ghost. they resolve the misunderstanding of uke forgetting their first encounter (author really just came up with this backstory afterwards lol). and they start dating for real. second volume introduces another couple who lives next door. uke2 is in hospital and seme2 visits him, waiting for him to wake up. they are childhood friends and kinda adoptive brothers cuz uke2 lost his family. anyway, whatever about them. it's okay but this uke2 is even more tsundere than uke1. third volume introduces uke's brother who crossdresses as a girl sometimes..... he comes to live with uke cuz he thinks their mom found out about him crossdressing and is mad. but she wasn't even sure it was him. uke wanted to prove their mom is fine and accepting by coming out to her about seme. turns out she knew he was gay all this time lol so ofc she would be okay with the younger bro crossdressing. also here seme randomly draws away from uke and uke gets really sad. but it's a good character growth for seme learning to restrain himself and not just have uke accept him no matter what messed up selfish shit he does.... turns out he's earning money to rent the apartment next to uke after the other couple moves out. cuz he's gonna live alone for uni? anyway, that's the gist of the story. read on batoto for official english.
