amazing gorgeous beautiful art! and very captivating story with highly likeable leads! emperor is kind of a tyrant that easily gets upset and punishes people. the female lead is his secretary holding him back and lessening the punishments. it's funny how when the nobles have a problem with the emperor, they look to her to help them calm him. and secretary reincarnated into the novel she read before, she used to be a secretary in korea so she is well suited for this job. originally in the novel it was her brother being the emperor's secretary, but he makes a mistake and the whole family is killed. in order to prevent this, she takes his place and does a fantastic job. but now she is actually wanting to quit because she has avoided the time when the emperor kills her brother and she thinks she can leave and go back to a normal life. but the emperor is developing feelings for her and always wants to keep her around him. she feels the same way but neither know what the feeling is lol. she asks for some advice from a priest who tells her it's probably a motherly feeling towards the emperor. anyway, these days there is some pressure on the emperor to marry. the original female lead has shown up, but she is also a reincarnator who is pretty evil. actually it's kinda weird cuz she's already been through this story once before like the book lol and this time she's angry that the secretary has made the story different. but in the first time her own evilness was her downfall anyway. secretary and her both know about each other as reincarnators, and secretary was originally gonna help her, but then saw her evilness and now tells her to stay the fuck away. so that was all kind of a flashback cuz the first chapter is when secretary tells emperor she wants to quit, and the emperor tells her that the only way she's leaving this job is through death. now we see that again after all the events leading up to it, but she's not satisfied with the prospect of being a secretary for life. emperor confused why she would want to quit. then his other aide tells him she got a marriage proposal. since in this world women can't work after marriage, he thinks she's quitting to get married and he's furious lol he doesn't even know he liker her. instead he thinks she loves him cuz she devotes so much to her job. meanwhile she had no intention of accepting the proposal anyway. ml sends guy who proposed to the borders lol hoping he dies in battle...... and gets fl a super rare pink diamond necklace in shape of rose. all the emperor's advisors say he needs to find an empress so he agrees to start the selection process. he holds a tea ceremony for rosaline cuz she said she wanted to do one lol but he mistook her intention. the original fl follows after emperor while the party is going on. he basically ignores her but then she gets mad and he senses her killing aura. he's about to kill her but holds himself back for rosaline. rosaline is told what happened and rushes over cuz she thinks ml is in danger. she sees what's happening with the original fl and threatens her to stay away from ml. they go back and then there's more talk of the empress selection. fl wants to bring in someone from the holy temple to help decide to make it fair. they also decide to do a completely open selection where every eligible girl in the empire is considered. and they wanted her to be voted in by the other girls but the empress dowager is like no, i will make the final selection. and ml says ok as long as they still get the temple guy. i didn't really get it........like how they're gonna get fl to win if empress dowager makes the decision....... anyway, fl also went on a blind date with her bro's friend cuz she wanted to be ineligible for the empress selection. but this guy is a douche and she ends up dumping tea on him cuz he insults the ml. ml was there too and watching and they leave together after scaring the guy but not revealing ml's identity as emperor. anyway, no ml is seriously asking fl to be empress cuz he wants a way to counter empress dowager and needs someone on his side. like he didn't ask cuz of feelings cuz he always considered empress position to be like a figurehead, not a person he'll need to like or anything. fl is seriously doubting cuz she's still thinking about her carefree life she wanted.

so good! best father daughter relationship ever?!!??!! girl reborn as villain's daughter in novel she read before. her dad is the demon sect's leader and super powerful. this world uses cultivation terms and settings so it's kinda confusing sometimes but not too important. as a baby his dad and the elders stayed away to keep her existence a secret. but her mom abused her cuz after her birth the dad never came back to see the mom. ml found out about it one day cuz she was cold from her mom's ice magic and collapsing. ml originally hates demon sect in novel cuz he believes dad killed his family even though his family and the demon sect lord were good friends. i think this is a misunderstanding cuz dad showed a flashback where he says all the ppl he holds precious are taken away. and that's why he tried not to hold his daughter precious but that is quite a conflicting action. anyway, ml goes off to cultivate in a cave but feels so guilty that after 2 years he comes out and tells the dad about mom's abuse. dad super angry and kills the mom. some years later the ice sect the mom was from sends assassins to kill fl. ml protects her and she protects him back before dad shows up to save the day. then he and the other elders destroy the whole ice sect and the assassin group. through these events she realizes how much she loves the ppl of the demon sect and her dad. originally she wanted to run away cuz she would have died at the hands of ml staying here and the dad in novel kept being cold forever. but now she kinda has everyone falling for her cuteness and she vows to stay and protect them when the ml attacks later on as an adult. she still thinks he will come do that but really he's fallen for her lol and won't be killing her in this life. cuz of that incident some ppl have come to investigate them. but it's obviously a pretense cuz everyone knows and they openly admit they're the ones who killed all those ppl. and while those ppl are here one of them goes rogue and kills himself and 3 others. fl and another guy survives and escapes deeper into a cave cuz crazy monk blocked the entrance. inside she develops her cultivation power further in a time of desperation to save herself and the man. then she finds a monster snake and gets him to agree to be her underling even though he's many times more powerful and will soon be free from the potion she made him drink that forced his obedience. but he's kinda an idiot and happy to follow her and eat her food. anyway, so she is saved from the cave by her dad opening the way and the serpant guy takes her out. she names the snake and it forms some contract ring around his neck. ml faces some punishment now cuz it's revealed he went into the cave before even though it was a prohibited area. but the punishment is just confinement cuz his info did help save fl. fl and snake visit him with food. ml and snake compete on who fl is nicer too lol i feel so bad for snakey boy. fl also asks ml to teach her a sword dance that she knows he knows from watching his mom do it. i feel like this is kinda sly of her cuz it's not something anyone should know.....and she said performing it might make him feel better but idk like leave his mom's memory alone?? fl gives ml the heavenly dew to drink, making him much more powerful. now they're trying to figure out who was behind the attack and why

the OG one i read from korea. best for powerful fl. i mean how can you beat empress. but the ml is kinda meh? idk will have to see more and it's hard for him to be better than her so meh is understandable to a degree. girl gets into novel. she is the empress who is slated to get killed by her close knight. she stops this and then gets everyone on her side again. she was being drugged and that's why she went crazy for 2 years (or was that just her excuse?). she gets the knight to trust her again. got her magician who always loved her back. got this smart guy as her secretary. and slowly getting the other nobles to come around. she had actually just recently united the empire before she went crazy. so she receives a petition about some corrupt nobles. goes there and does a lot of posturing before capturing all of them. then she decides to take away the system where noble titles are inherited. instead they are given based on merit and trust from the empress herself. now there is soon a ball and she is inviting all the nobles here. some of her closest aides were sent away when she was crazy and another guy was doing as he liked in her place. 2 of them came to meet her and one is a girl who is suspiciously chipper and one is a weak kinda sickly guy. fl suspects the girl is acting too positive after 2 years in exile. and turns out suspicion is right cuz real girl is being held captive by her crazy father and he sent a look alike in daughter's place. daughter acting obedient for now while in her heart she still supports fl. now they have a ball with the nobles and stuff. ml and 2nd-ml worked together to get her a special stone necklace.

looks like it will be amazing! super kind hearted righteous prince and the girl is a saintess or the saintess. basically girl's mother is a saintess who controls a place called the empire. the guy is the king of neighbouring land called the principality, i think his whole family died by the hands of the saintess. saintess is also abusing her daughter cuz she is mad that her powers started weakening after the daughter was born. saintess sets up a marriage between her hated daughter and the hated kind of the neighbouring kingdom. she wants them to hurt each other and places a curse on the daughter to kill the king within 6 months or she dies herself. the daughter decides to just die cuz she really fell in love with the king and the king loves her back, but the saintess invaded the land and killed the king and basically took over the land i guess, as her original intention. and then took the girl back home to imprison her. she prays again and again to be reborn and she is, back to the day of her arranged wedding to the king. so now we see her on the wedding day changing stuff up. everything currently thinks she's super evil cuz her mom pushes a lot of blame for stuff on her. but she's already helped save a guy from the king's group who the saintess was trying to kill. and now we're seeing a girl working for the saintess but not feeling loyal, so probably this girl is loyal to our main character girl instead. looks very promising! smart level headed girl who already loves the guy instead of being a hard to get girl. so we do have one wing that's loyal to the fl instead of her mom. and another wing, who loves the wing loyal to fl, is beginning to doubt the saintess. and he talks about choosing one between them, but unclear who he will choose this time. last time he actually chose to kill the wing he loved. and fl and ml finally meet as king and lady. so king knows this girl who helped him so much is the daughter of the saintess and he figured out that the saintess has been abusing her and lying about it. but our fl suddenly fucking tells him to divorce her in 6 months like wtf... even though this time the saintess's 6 month curse backfired on her. i guess fl doesn't know this so is trying to avoid it or something. and she also asks to kiss and touch and have sex on the first night lol cuz they didn't really do this in the past life. she says she wants to make good memories before the divorce and still thinks the ml hates her.... also found out ml's mom kinda has dementia but used to have prophecy dreams and she's having them about fl now. and there are 3 divine beings in this world who are responsible for turning back the time 3 years. the goddess of the holy empire (of fl), the dragon of the principality (of ml), and a demon lord. after they turned back time they all got super weak. but goddess still mustered up energy to send an oracle about the end of the current saintess (fl's mom). apparently she is just a temp saintess but she made a deal with some shady guy to try to be permanent. but ofc in the end nobody can beat the goddess. anyway goddess sent the oracle saying saintess's time is nearing end but saintess tried to tell ppl goddess said things favouring her and shit so goddess sent another oracle warning saintess to stop her bs cuz the only path forward for her is death. saintess gets so scared and a priest comes over asking what happened since only the saintess can read the oracles from the goddess. saintess just says the first message again and priest is like r u sure and saintess gets so mad she kills him and escapes to her room to check if her contract with the shady guy to be saintess is still in effect and apparently she sees that it is. day of the wedding is here. dragon and demon lord are going to attend in their weakened forms. dragon is a young boy. demon lord is just a floating dust lol... fl and ml have their marriage without issue. fl still thinks ml hates her but ml actually loves her a lot already. many ppl from principality hate fl but there's a misunderstanding that fl and the person who saved the knight before are different ppl? cuz knight who got saved sees his savior marrying ml and is like wut that ain't the saintess's daughter, that's my saviour lol....... but many ppl from principality hate the empire cuz their family died after being sent here for healing and the excuse was cuz they disturbed saintess's daughter so they died, giving fl a horrible name. anyway right now principality ppl acting super kind towards fl on their journey back to principality. fl's mom's priest guy is making trouble by causing sandstorms.

ML looks like he stepped out of a 2010 yaoi manga lol girl is daughter of a king and slave so she was raised as a slave. but one day king came to get her to marry her off to a duke for political gain cuz king didn't want to actually marry off one of his precious daughters. then this empire got taken over by the empire of the male lead and the girl got taken as a slave. after she worked as a housework slave, she also spent some time helping with medicine cuz she grew up in an apothecary. then the archduke, our ml, takes her as his personal attendant on his year long journey to survey the empire. they start developing feelings for each other along the way, the archduke developing faster than her. there's some very funny running joke of everyone thinking the archduke is gay cuz that's what he told his dad to avoid marriage. pretty sure this author is into yaoi from these jokes and the art style. one night they finally kiss. but next day nobody says anything and fl starts avoiding ml a bit and she thinks he did it just playing around with a maid. now he feels terrible about doing it. meanwhile trigger, a horse worker guy proposes to her to have a mutually beneficial marriage. cuz he's gay and she's a slave. he will get a cover wife and she can be bought out of slavery by him. she tells him the truth about her having been royal but he doesn't really understand the significance, just shocked she is 6 years older than him. well she accepts the proposal thinking it's probably the best choice even though she starts thinking about ml as well. they realize someone heard their convo and know fl is the princess so trigger runs off after the eavesdropper. but he doesn't find anyone and then can't find chloe. he reports to ml and they go out searching for fl. but fl has met a granny who is connected to ml somehow and she takes fl in for the night. also the eavesdropper is a boy working for granny and she considers him her son. archduke and granny meet and he is taken to fl. ml hears granny's name and knows her family was supposed to be executed for treason and wonders how she hid herself in the mountains. he goes to kill granny but fl stops him. fl gives ml a diary of his mother from the granny. he learns his mom loved him but his dad was cruel to her so she became resentful and crazy. also more info on his older sister that his dad gave away cuz wanted a son. and the sis looks so much like fl that i'm getting scared it's some incest thing lmao and after reading for some reason the ml rushes to find fl by the water and he confesses his love and they kiss.....wtf i am confused with this pacing.

loved it so much!! a gem for modern day straight romance. girl frustrated with boss and writes a children's book. boss's nephew loves the book and wants to meet author. boss ml finds out it's his secretary, fl, who wrote the book. fl goes over to meet nephew and boss gets interested in her more and more. they get over some issues of boss just doing whatever he wants and being kinda inconsiderate. but ml waits patiently for fl to decide after confessing. there's also some drama with the nephew's father coming back and ml being mad at him. wish we got to see more of the father reconnecting with son.........it's so sad they don't have much contact in the story but it's implied that they do keep in touch. then their relationship gets rather serious and fl decides to quit secretary job to be a writer full time. and ml can support her too cuz he's a ceo lol. story ends and we get cute epilogue of like 6-8 years later when nephew is older and they are all living together. cute all around!!!!! great characters and no dumb drama
