Sekine-kun no Koi

Complete | kawachi haruka | 2000 released

Spoiler alert ! I really cannot comment on this manga without spoiling it LOL . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sekine has some trauma :( he’s a survivor of multiple SAs and it really messed up how he viewed relationships and interacting with people of both sexes. It’s a heartwarming and sad story about how Sekine goes through his thirtieth year of life realizing he is empty wants to find something to fill his void. It’s later revealed that he actually just doesn’t want to think, he wants to be on autopilot so he doesn’t remember what happened to him as a kid. He heals and finds joy in small things as the story goes on, he’s able to experience new emotions and situations that help him grow as a person. Very wholesome at the end, wished we were able to see more of Sara and Sekine though the art is so beautiful and haunting in a way. The mangaka was really able to capture the emotions of the characters through the art! You’re gonna get goosebumps for sure. The FL, Sara, is not a savior to Sekine, but rather more like a sense of comfort and joy that he loves. She basically gave hiss life purpose again, and not through some grand gesture, just everyday things that he began to miss when they didn’t meet. THIS SHIT SO SAD BUT CUTE I CRIED

Bokura no Shokutaku

Complete | Mita Ori | 2000 released

My eyes feel like they’re cleansed Tane is so cute and the character development is amazing! I wish they addressed more of the family issues but this is fine too
