This was such a beautiful, interesting story that fully mesmerized me. I love the two female love interests, and how they fought against the insurmountable odds in order to be with each other. Also, how they were both displayed as strong, independent women despite their many challenges and obstacles in a sexist, racist society was truly inspiring. Andrew’s love for Herta has no boundaries, and it was amazing to see Herta realize her love for Andrew as the story developed. I wish both of these characters a happy ending in which they both grow old together. This was an amazing story, and I hope to see more enchanting stories from this author.
