Kurui Naku No Wa Boku No Ban
It's a shame that this series, as good as it is, is getting rated low marks because people can't come to appreciate complex characters. There's a cast with various backgrounds, yet some of these other readers only focus on the omega's actions and actions alone. Maybe later down the road, more people can come to appreciate this one more. Now for the actual review: An omegaverse where the omega isn't your typical "uwu" personality. There's scars that have shaped each character and brings out their unique personality that plays into the story. There's a lot of smut, but this time, the smut is actually what drives the story forward. On top of having a complex cast, the author did a wonderful job of expanding the plot through dialogue-driven scenes. Each character is given sufficient time in the spotlight to grow and add color to the story.
Kurui Naku no wa Boku no Ban Beta
Sequel/side story for Utou, the beta from the original. Like the original, this one is amazing and has good development + pacing.
Kyou Kara Omega ni Narimashita
A very shallow story. The cast is bland and nothing really interests you. There's a bit of fluff, but that's about all this one has...
Hanagara Tsumi
This series is actually more of a 3.5/5. The reason being that it focused way too much on drama from the past that it didn't mesh well with how the author was trying to pace the story. They gave you roughly two occasions to see flashbacks to explain the uke's inferiority complex and antisocial behavior and reference it over and over and OVER again for the present time when they're all older by like....7 years or something. The character cast never develops, and they're all the same as their past selves. Therefore, the time skip was put in for convenience and never acted as a catalyst for anything other than to bring the uke and seme together again. There are zero changes in how each character presents themselves even after 7 years which is quite odd. It also didn't help that the uke was your typical "uwu I'm so sad" type of personality and the seme is just as shallow as if the only fiber of his being is "oh no I need to protect him but it's for my own satisfaction." The only good character in this one was the older brother who had few parts and his confrontation with the seme. This was ultimately a disappointing read.
Shounen No Kyoukai
This series started off extremely rough, where the setting and the personalities of the cast made you uncomfortable. But after that, this was truly a good read. You get to explore a "darker" and more realistic side of the omegaverse. People are prone to their selfishness, making mistakes, and the author takes that and lets the characters grow from their mistakes. It was satisfying to revisit each character's side of the story because you can see the way they've all grown. I would like to rate this more than 5/5. Most omegaverse stories are made to be fluffy and wholesome most of the time, but this one is one of the few gems that takes the setting of omegaverse and showcases how the reality really would be like very well.
Ai to Makoto (Moriyo)
Outside of incest, this had a fairly good plot and enough development for the length. An interesting take on the omegaverse theme especially with threesomes.
Romantic Joutou
Warning: rape This one was hard to rate. I get the point of the story, where you can love someone and not adhere to the general rules of the omegaverse where it "has" to be alphaxomega, but the way it was showcased was disturbing. The alpha antagonist who was put in as a catalyst to spur on the relationship between the omega and beta friend, was a bit over the top. I don't know if he was meant to be this horrible, but he was disgusting as a person.
There's No Way This Is Fate
This was an interesting read to say the least. It has crackhead energy, but also very cringe, but that was its comedic selling factor. Welcome to a story about three friends in an omegaverse, where everyone is essentially batshit crazy over one another, but somehow ends with a happy ending. Art implies that each character is a minor, so you'll be seeing what's essentially a ton of shota smut.
Unmei Ja Nai Hito
Pretty bland story, but it's very fluffy and wholesome. It doesn't use the trope of alpha's raping every omega because they had a rut or omegas had a heat. Only slight occurrence would be in the beginning, but that was the main selling point. This is like your typical innocent love story which is nice.
