Memoirs Of Romance
This has the plot of a comedy kdrama. It keeps you questioning everything and there's very little romance. It's actually refreshing and weird at the same time for a BL.
The Air Temple Gate of Love
I normally refrain from reading DJ, but...the art was amazing. The art sold this for me.
99 Arrows
Not really surprised at the mention of skin color, it's technically accurate because of the Chinese context as well as the overall unfortunate idea in Asian countries that white skin is more beautiful. At least the pros are that the art looks pretty good and the shading looks on point. Giving this a try and hopefully it gets better.
Kimi wa Boku no Uso
Kinda had a hard time rating this one. The story felt like the author wanted it to be dialogue-driven, but it just wasn't quite there yet. You had to infer a lot from the subtle gestures the characters did. This was a tale about two stepbrothers with no real blood tie(?). Parents were divorcees with children who married each other (not entirely sure but it seems to be the case?). It showcases incest as the main theme, but focuses on the aspect that they were trying to distinguish their feelings since they were young whether the love they felt for one another was familial or romantic. I think this series should have been given a fair review and not an "ew incest" low rating.
No Choco for Doggo
I wanted to like this series, but it was just bad. Half of each chapter is literally the same panels repeated and nothing ever happens. What feels like two chapters worth of "development" is actually stretched to be 8 chapters in this series. Hopefully it gets better, but it's really disappointing currently. Dropped
The Imperial Master Above Webtoon
One of those Chinese BL where the plot is extremely cliche and stereotyped that's it's a little saddening to read it. Seems ok so far, but hopefully becomes better in the future.
