Note: My comment contains some SPOILERS, so please only read them if your prepared to be SPOILED. This has been one of the many mangas I've read many times. And out of all those, this had been one of my favorites. It has the drama that is just right to make people stick to it. It isn't even overly sweet and the protagonist doesn't act effeminate!! And the development is not forced; it was very natural. The set up wherein one is a single parent is really nicely made. I've read some with the same setup but the simplicity and the way that it seems so natural makes it high above the rest! The way that it intensifies as the day for his parting with Chizu-chan approaches had really made my heart feel the pain. There were a lot of times that I felt tears in my eyes. I really recommend this one. If I can just place 6 stars or more, I would have done so.
