Asagao wa Yoru kara Saku
Didn’t bawl my eyes out, but the plot of death made tears form for sure. Super cute and bittersweet, I’m glad Hide moved on in the end, and his homosexuality and feelings for him were slightly explained at the end. I also enjoyed that the smut seen was very real in the sense that Hide was not there. Yuuie (can’t remember the spelling rn) kept noticing that there was no warmth or sensation, that made it all more real that Hide is in fact a ghost. Definitely a bittersweet manga.
Even if it’s Not Fate
2 stories, not connected/ omegaverse first story, a beta and an older omega. Simple and sweet. Second story is confusing because it deals with snake people, but it’s not explained. Shark loans go to pick up some money, but the guy is dead. The loan guy with glasses finds a strange book. His partner just like…fucks him
Big Apple
MC has been hiding what he actually does for a living with his boyfriend. It’s not easy to explain to someone that you’re a sniper for some secret intelligence service filled with people who have supernatural powers. He wants to quit it but is threatened with his life if he does. Figuring there would be no chance to live from his upcoming mission, he tries to breakup with his boyfriend who doesn’t take it too lightly and forces him to stay at his home. His character hasn’t shown much about his private life, so I have a feeling he could somehow be apart of the service thing or their bad guys (like usual plot) but who knows. The smut is good, lol but I really wanna find out more about him. Also the MC didn’t have any bad feelings about being tied up in his home cause he was treated really well and he necessarily didn’t even want to work, so he kinda took advantage from it too. He doesn’t seem like he holds any grudges.
Your wish is my command
I absolutely love that it’s a magical boy BL manhwa. It took me forever to get used Tom the fact that the butt plug was the activation to him turning into a magical Boy and it turning into a sword. The powers and villains I thought were very unique and handsome for the most part. Very interesting plot. Even as an obvious love triangle, I was still rooting for the original seme the uke wanted to get with, which is rare since most love triangles have the uke going for the new or second person. I thought he was really nice and he genuinely liked the uke. But then boom. That smirk. That FUCKING smirk happened and I thought, ‘goddamit’. It’s a very funny read cause of the magical girl humor, but the plot is interesting enough, it’s very creative and not a typical love triangle/college life plot, so that’s nice. I do hope things turn out well for the original couple, the uke has been through enough. It sucks cause if they just told one another how they feel, none of this shit would have happened lol I will say there is a lot of rape cause of the villans the uke has to fight.
Ookami wo Karu Housoku
Set in the US, a lovely strong from a popular novel! A gay romance involving werewolves and (reverse) racism! Surprise, but not really, the Native American MC’s mom doesn’t like white people, but her son fancies blonde hair and blue eyes. Being a werewolf isn’t the main focal point of the story and I enjoy that. It’s refreshing that they are both werewolves, not one human trying to learn of a newfound existence. .Instead the plot focuses on their relationship and fated mates and the acceptance between themselves and within their family and friends. I love how quickly Chay (Native American) was so accepting of his mate being a guy. As for looks, he was spot on, so that was a bonus, but to deny the feeling of your mate was against his better judgement (for both of them really). I will like to add on that I thought it was strange af that even though Chay’s mom doesn’t like white folks, she named her kid one of the whitest American names I’ve ever heard and I think his middle name is Montgomery. Lol and many of the names of the other Native Americans (including werewolves) are very white or weird white American names like Tina, Bobby, and Keaton (Chay’s white lover, also a very strong werewolf, but doesn’t care. He came out to his family and left because they wouldn’t accept him). I am not sure if it’s just names the author thought white people had in America or they weren’t sure if Native American names were ok to use. Idk, but it’s funny and honestly took some getting used to.
Practiced Liar
He’s able to read minds and finds out that a quiet jr really, really, really likes him. Super cute. If it was long and more in depth it had the potential to be a favorite for me.
