Practiced Liar
He’s able to read minds and finds out that a quiet jr really, really, really likes him. Super cute. If it was long and more in depth it had the potential to be a favorite for me.
Motto Amaete! Tachibana-san
Two stories, connected but not significant in connection. First story: doctor finds a man passing out with a fever on his way home. Finds out he works in real estate in the same giant building complex as himself. The real estate agent comes off mean but does that to protect himself due to a past relationship. He’s actually super nice and considerate. The doctor helps him with those issues. Second story: IT worker is confused why this American new hire transfer keeps saying that he likes him. During a dinner they share the worker explains how a certain client made him uncomfortable because they were overly touchy and doesn’t want to meet them alone again. American guy is like, sorry can’t make it with you. Turns out he was undercover with the FBI and trying to catch these guys who produce a drug. They tried to get the worker to become apart of it and gave him a small dose and was gonna literally fuck him up and blackmail him to work for them.
Who's Your Daddy?
Not omegaverse but does deal with a special cae of Mpreg. Hated everything about this. I read 10 chapters, could feel where this was going and skipped to the end to find out it weren’t exactly where I assumed. I did go a few chapters back to see who the killer was, no surprise there. That was the most interesting part though. These typical love triangles give the characters such bland and cliche personalities. I’m glad I didn’t waste too much of my time on this. Was definitely not a fan.
Playtime with Hakdo
Ending felt very abrupt, but still good. I guess because it wasn’t that typical ‘I love you’ or ‘Together forever, happily ever after’ ending it felt like more could have happened. Still cute, I like the different romances without it being an annoying love triangle, cheating, or ‘will they, won’t they’ nonsense. The different personalities were fun for each character and the buildup was there but not over dramatic. Overall a nice easy going story.
Gorae Byul - The Gyeongseong Mermaid
Oh I absolutely adore this sooo much! The historical accuracy and importance (I say accuracy based on the translators notes which I am SO grateful for btw) I love that the romance isn’t overly done-AT ALL. It’s still there, hinted at, but the plot focuses on the resistance and a poor girl who got caught up in it. It’s so good. Now here comes the drama. But omg, it is so well done! I know it has many more chapters to go, almost halfway done at this point. I had to look it up on the naver website, I was so excited. I haven’t been this excited about a romantic hetero plot since the Fruits Basket remake! Lol
