All that drama and for what? Legit just wasted my time

This could’ve had so much potential but the author simply cannot do one single thing right. There were so many opportunities for redemption and development of all the characters but all the build up is always for absolutely nothing. I can’t believe I wasted my time with this. I hate every single character, they don’t have any depth

While reading thoughts: This story isn’t bad but it’s not good either. There are a lot of inconsistencies in the character development and much more drama than needed in certain situations, the plot also develops too slowly. After finishing thoughts: it’s not bad but.. had a lot more potential. The ending felt unsatisfying though I did come to like the uke at the end, I can’t say the same about the seme cause that guy still had no development. Basically the author just threw the role of “misunderstood scary looking guy” and that’s his whole personality. (SPOILER AHEAD) Also the death of his brother-in-law and sister was so bad written, like we see no consequences of that in none of the characters, not even THEIR child. Sure the seme got angry and all but that was it. SPOILER Ch.59: You really want me to believe that the guy who kissed the lei lin from the first episode and forcibly kissed, hugged and touched the uke/MC/lei xi wasn’t in love with the original lei lin? That he wasn’t obsessed with the lei lins? That he wanted to marry her only because they had the same ideals? Oh PLEASE, the author really do be putting up new things and creating plot holes along the way. NOT spoiler Ch.66-88: The plot only starts to develop around chapter 66 and the whole story has 88 chapters in total, which says A LOT. The end in itself wasn’t exactly rushed but really fast paced. The author could’ve explained things better earlier so it wouldn’t be confusing or even feel like she just explained every single detail in the last minute cause she didn’t want to draw this anymore.

Honestly I don’t really know how to feel, I just.. feel kinda empty. It’s too much of a bittersweet ending for my taste
