trauma ≠ permission to be an ass i think such a deep-seated character flaw needed a lot more time + development; here it felt like there wasn't growth, the guy just ended up liking a guy who wasn't *actually* in a relationship (with his best friend!!!!). like, i definitely needed more time and more growth to be able to forgive the mc and root for his happiness.

oh how i love the break up followed by an emotional reunion trope. idec if they get back together or end up with someone else, the angst, the feelings, literally everything about those scenes are just amazing.
