Tanssia's manga / #Strong Female Lead(19)

Tokyo Crazy Paradise

Complete | Nakamura Yoshiki | 1996 released

This is what made me fall in love with strong female leads. After reading this, every time I read a manga with a girl that just waited for a guy to come save her, it made my heart ache. I mean come on girl, stand up and fight for yourself!! If you haven't read this you're missing out. The romance isn't that strong in this one, I mean it's there but it's not the sole focus like it is in shoujo mangas. Don't let this stop you from reading though because I'm a hardcore doki doki moment girl but I still loved this manga. The action was kickbutt awesome. Oh and it has cross dressing(BONUS) (((o(*゚▽゚*)o))). Seriously, just read it. But it's a long one so make sure you take breaks. Even though it was Long, it made me sad when it ended because it's so hard to find a girl mc that's so freaking hardcore you better not screw with her. Innocent mc leads are cool once in a while but Tokyo crazy paradise was like finding water in a desert of princess shoujo girls. It's refreshing.

I watched the anime first and I loved it! Gah, when I found out there was a manga that was translated I dove right in. Tbh, when I saw the shounen tag and the summary, it didn't peak my interest but it's amazing. Beautiful artwork and a compelling storyline. Can't wait for update!

The Cradle of the Sea

Complete | NAGANO Mei | 2000 released

I got pulled in by the cover. It was beautiful and so is this story!! Gosh I love every single one of the characters and the art is just...just beautiful!!! I love this kind of take charge non wimpy female lead. The kid, Evan is also to die for adorable. I love adventure stories!! Gosh I hope it updates soon!

9 Banme No Musashi

Complete | takahashi miyuki | 1996 released

Being normal is overrated. Why be a normal teenager, when you could be part of an organization that saves the world?? Unfortunately, saving the world is a lot less glamorous than people are made to believe. People die. Lies are everywhere. And you can't just solely rely on just your eyes anymore. It takes a special kind of person and Musashi is one of the few that takes up the challenge. She's strong, she's smart, and at times androgynous. Musashi kind of reminds me of Kim Possible, but cooler, bc she's so mysterious and she doesn't have a sidekick but later in the story she does get a love interest. One of my favorite female leads ever~

I knew the name Balsa seemed familiar! This is from the anime!!! Which was awesome and expands more than the manga has. Balsa is a famous spear warrior that comes upon a mission to keep a prince safe. But the danger goes beyond just from those from the palace but the spirit world has now become involved. Super interesting. Action, fantasy, awesome strong female lead, and I forget his name but that childhood friend dude, I ship them! Watch the anime, read the manga, both are awesome. May seem slow at parts, but what story doesn't have its draggy moments.
