Cafe Velomano
This is...good??? lol, better than what I was expecting. read from left to right though. lol, I keep forgetting since it's korean. it's about 2 couples(?). lol, not sure if any of them are couples at this point. They're not separate stories, they're coinciding couples. first couple is the main couple. a 39 y coffee shop owner guy. he hires a female 28 y part-timer. lol, she screws up a lot, but she tries hard. he keeps trying to find a way to fire her bc he wants "pretty young women", lol, but he doesn't have the heart to bc she really does work hard. 2nd couple comes in, lol, I almost got the guy confused with the coffee shop owner guy, but anyways he asks a girl on the bus for her number but the girl thinks it's bc he likes her, but turns out that it's bc he was trying to sell insurance. she gets mad. he realizes he did something wrong. writes a cute memo at the coffeeshop for her. and well, we'll see I guess?
Fushigi No Kuni No Bird
The adventures of Miss Isabella bird, a writer that wants to explore Japan, especially the parts that have never been documented about before, and Ito, a Japanese interpreter with an unknown past. Along the way they explore and discover not only the most abject parts of Japan, but also some of the most wonderful people and traditions that have made Japan what it is. I love this story. I'm not sure about it's accuracy, but it's fun to read, artwork is pretty and Ms Bird and Ito's interactions are cute. Don't go in thinking this is romance or something. I'm not sure on that front but I'm pretty sure it's not? lol, very slice of life, beautiful historical I guess documentary?
Takarakuji de 40-oku Atattandakedo Isekai ni Ijuu Suru
eh. I wasn't interested.
Tenkuu Shinpan
awesome. completely awesome. but dark, if you think about it to much. completely thrilling, and i am so glad it's still being updated. waking up in another world where there are people with masks trying to kill you, yuri starts the journey to try and find her brother that is also lost in this twisted world. it's so freaking good. i wish it was completed though so i wouldn't have to wait for an update. p.s gotta say yu-chan's my favorite. and i really wanna see his face!
Watashi no Shounen (Takano Hitomi)
i'm so conflicted over this guys; but the art is so pretty, but i'm so conflicted. my heart is waging a war. he's way too freaking young, but i really love age gap mangas. idk what to do???? I guess I'll keep reading with an open mind and tread lightly? 30 year old office worker with a troublesome ex, encounters a 12 year old boy who has a troublesome family situation; the two, i assume, will embark on what is to be a tumultuous relationship that hopefully waits till he's older. like legal age. please. gosh, i want to like it, but MY HEART IS SO CONFLICTED.
Ryuukei no Sora
Really good; wish it was longer.
Livingstone
It's within the will to live that the soul grows. We die because we first lived. Oh man, this was wonderful. Absolutely wonderful, but I'm glad I found this when it was completed or else that would have killed me. I love this duo; and I loved this story. In this world, the weight of a person's soul, to live to die, the people that interact with people's fates, just read it. It's wonderful. But bring tissues. :)
Suzuki-san wa Tada Shizuka ni Kurashitai
Surely there’s more right? I read this years ago and was surprised to see another chapter. Hope it continues...So good. I could just tell from the first page. Jinsuke and his mother are living in secrecy but their hiding spot is a short lived happiness. Tragedy strikes. Their neighbor Suzuki turns out to be more than just a cranky neighbor. Jinsuke and Suzuki's journey begins. Suzuki looks like she's gonna be an awesome female lead that can kick butt! That kid...kids are more mature than we give them credit for. Not gonna lie. Him and his mom made me cry.
Asadora!
This is interesting. Winning, losing. Everyone loses in a war. People always die. The aftermath of both sides is terrible no matter who comes out as the victor. Asa is a daughter in a family of 12; a child often forgotten. Set in the midst of after war and a typhoon the story begins
