I have mixed feelings about this story. The MC is okay with getting raped apparently because he was the one to offer to help this scumbag in the first place. He then falls in love with the scumbag when he starts acting more like a human being. The ending was nice, but the reaction to getting raped was just dissonant.

Featuring a rapist POS and a hopeless protagonist. Garbage.

The MC's brother gets murdered by the emperor. His country gets ravished, his people get murdered. He gets kidnapped, locked up, raped. And yet somehow this is all treated like a joke and he falls in love with the emperor. This is complete nonsensical trash.

rape is a no.

This story is one giant misunderstanding romance trope. It's frustrating to read and all the characters make nonsensical choices because moar melodrama! I give up.
