Gangster with an unrequited love Seme x Lawyer with an unrequited love Uke [8.6/10]
I understand why most people don't like this manga, and i can agree, but also, in it's own way, i can't really bring myself to hate any character. First, the premise goes with Aki (uke) being in love with his childhood-though-they-meet-in-highschool friend, Keigo, who is a womanizer straight guy. Here is where Ryuiji (seme) makes act of presence, since he, as is in love with Aki, decides to stay by his side and become the replacement of Keigo. This is the thing that i see as the most common thing to make readers angry, since he is being use by the love of his life, but the truth is that both of them know in what place they agree to be. In the case of Aki, he decided to be a standby for Keigo's life, he didn't make a move, so now he is suffering from love, and obviously Keigo isn't at fault since he just sees him as a friend, never thought of him like that. Now, in the case of Ryuji, he decided to stay there even though he knows Aki knows about his feelings and is using it against him. Fot the little past that we could see, we can understand why he is clinging to him, since he is the one that showed him some kindness, he was someone cute and beautifully good to him, contrary to the abussive and dark house he was living. Still, obviously Aki is doing some bad things by using him, i'm not going to defend that, but seeing the whole panorama, Ryuji isn't a saint either, he is using the fact that Aki is being rejected unconditionally to keep him close, to sleep with him, hoping for a chance, he knows what he is doing and still decides to stay there even knowing he is being hurt. So yeah, can't hate any of them since both of them have some guilt in this situation, but also are innocent, since they are just two guys trying to be loved.
Bonus: the storyline about Aki liking being call "cute" is cute, i love when Ryuji calls him "princess", he is, in fact, very adorable and appealing
