having read all the chpts and sides now, i decided to bump this up a star. the first 60 chpts while fine are pretty typical romance story that i see alot in het romances and this is just that applied to a campus setting with two guys instead. however! after they become a couple and the story finally delves more into who Dong gyun is and also the homophobia he experienced, the story became 50x more interesting and emotionally affecting. and it was handled in a fairly respectful realistic way. its still def a BL comic so its nothing too deep but considering how rarely this genre which is all about Boys in Love seems to deal with things like homophobia or discussions of sexuality even when set in our real world, i gotta say it was refreshing to see that handled here. it was also nice to see that we get 4 different kinds of queer guys in one comic, albeit we only really get to know two of them. i loved chanwoo he's like some of the real gay dudes i've known and he was also a ton of fun. i would gladly read a whole series about him but i will settle for the Sides instead. his kinky relationship is also more interesting to me than the more vanilla standard one with Jiwon and DG but no question i found myself rly adoring the main couple once they were finally an actual Couple and i only wish they'd gotten together sooner tbh. anyway while i dont love this story as much as other people on this website do, i managed to finish it and find some of its charms by the end. i dont know if i'd call it a Must Read tho.

this wasnt very deep but i did like it enough to read all of it so that says something. i think i always like it when the top is a cute boy who is very in love and not some cold macho asshole. so many times its like THIS GUY IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ME HOW COULD I EVER~~ and im like...no ty. this is the Friends to Lovers trope and you'd think i'd be tired of it by now...but i am not lol. this is a good friends to lovers imo. its hilarious that so many commenters thought the redhead was an evil abuser rapist when...he's nothing of the sort. there is ONE scene that is debtable-y dubcon...and that's it. the brownhaired cutie is actually able to adovcate for himself and isnt some drippy pushover. he's the less overtly affectionate of the two which i like. anyway there is alot of sex but it didnt bore me. i cant say that its esp enlightening or important to the story or characters but it was pleasing to look at and what more can i ask in my R18 webtoons? lol. so yeah if u like friends to lovers and a top that is SUPER in love (kinda like taehee from banana scandal) then this will prob be a nice way to kill 1-2 hrs. (altho this is very vanilla, there is one scene with Kink, so like school girl uniform, spanking, a blindfold, stuff like that. figured it's worth a mention). it is always amusing to me to see which men can get away with doing what to their partners in these stories, its so clearly based around just how hot the readership at large thinks the guy is otherwise this guy wouldnt be getting more shit than the leads in other popular comics in the same genre. (not naming names cause this is a review and not a callout post lol)

this is just pure PWP and I love it. its all those gross bizarro hentai some of u have definitely watched before.. (i was a curious child ok, dont u judge me!). but tis time for Da Ladies and in webtoon format. while kind of. its a webtoon that tries to mimic porno mobile otome games. I do love when a porn gets structurally ambitious lol.

the first and only chinese webtoon im reading. im kind of so so on workplace romances usually but i like this one alot. the humor is hit or miss but its not cringey. the real prize is the FL who is truly an inspiration to us all. the kind of coolheaded and competant lady we just dont get enough of. no cutesy bumbling here folks! the ML is also unconventional in some ways. he's eccentric and quiet but not icy or rude. and he def despite being her age feels younger in some ways. he's pretty but not like Cute but he's also not macho at all. i dont think thats coincidence. this is another webtoon that in a subtle thoughtful way plays a bit with gender role expectations in a love story. albeit as of 22 chpts i dont get any like...romantic or sexual chemistry off these two at all. but at the same time i DO find their dynamic interesting and it is clear why they could in the future be a good partnership and fall for each other but this isnt some swoony steamy romance by a long shot. anyway i def recommend this. esp cause it seems like we may also be getting a SUPER SHARPLY DRESSED lesbian coworker as the FL's close friend. (unlike her non coworker bff who is a spoiled annoying rich girl there for comic relief except nothing she does is funny to me but anyways~). there's also another guy with a playful attitude and a ponytail and im alrdy feelin some kinda way about him.

just started this. its up to 20 chpts on tapas and im reading up to chpt 6 so far. the opening chpts are such a misdirect their coupling is so beautiful and reciprocal and SEXY right now i cant handle it. ofc angst will find them eventually but im hoping for a happy (ish?) ending and i do love that the bottom is this tall button up sort where the top is notably shorter but also notably more muscular has the CUTEST dimples and curely dark hair like...isnt it nice when all the male characters dont look identical to each other? lol. also jinha is very much my type srsly them curls...them DIMPLES...ahem. anyway I love how the artist draws expressions too. also it lends real eroticism to the sex scenes which are short but impactful. the coloring reminds me a bit of Wolf in the House (another great love story with a beautiful fluid art style). EDIT: finished! i loved it from start to end and its very good. all the Angst is purely based on emotions and perceptions and the main character's anxiety. i will say that holding what happened in highschool against his boyfriend well into their 20s? late 20s? seems weird. like they were kids. even if he was "toying" with him back then (and in fact jinha never really says he was? nor that he wasnt? just that those memories were precious for him and he regrets not confessing back then) what a kid does isnt rly going to feed into how an adult acts..tho part of the issue is def these guys jumped RIGHT into a romantic sexual relationship before trying to like...get to know each other at all. so i did feel that the foundation of the relationship being unstable makes perfect sense. just that his reasons were a bit odd to me. (but i like that the story emphasises how they rly havent spoken about their past or their feelings, just that they are into each other and now they are dating which allowed anxiety to fester into hwane until he freaks out and indirectly breaks up with jinha.) the breakup while frustrating felt necessary and the ending is very happy and satisfying! (i do wish we'd gotten more of jinha's inner monologue as well tho). i also like that altho it seemed like Ina, Blonde hottie and friendly Boss guy all could have been obstacles to the romance (and in fact almost seemed set up to be..) they turned out ot all be generally good people with no real malicious intentions and any issues with the couple was entirely because of themselves and no other outside force. looooved that! just a pretty mature thougthful love story and those are my fave.

alot better than i thought it would be. Kirin the main guy is so pretty and thats why i picked this up tbh. i expected the other main guy to be far more cruel and vicious and while he is a certified psychopath and a bit (or alot lol) rough in bed...he's surprisingly one of the uh nicer Problematic Tops in the darker end of the BL genre. (hell he still cares more about consent than the leads of POTN, YTC, LTWW or even LIAI all popular BL comics with asshole ish tops obv in varying degrees of horrible and 2 of them are supposed to be like romcoms more than dramas and yet....annnnnd yet). anyway if u like ur BLs dark and ~psychological~ and very sexual then i dare say u came to the right place.

..........meh. potion has made better hotter more nicely illustrated webtoons than this. feel free to skip. (giving it 1 star is too strong cuz i didnt feel enough about it to say i hated it)
