super secret? More like super CUTE! Just very sweet, heartfelt, romantic and Hilarious. And like ghost wife it starts to embrace a hint of melancholy in the back half that works rly well (without losing its sense of humor). And unlike ghost wife this is an unequivocal happy ending that feels very wrapped up but not in an obnoxious Perfect Bow way. that said the side character's endings were perhaps a bit Too open ended. more in some cases than others, and thats my only gripe tho i understand why the author chose to do this. but otherwise this a Perfect friends to lovers romance with a really cute fantastical twist involving werewolves, witches, fox demons and vampires!

this is another manga that sounded more problematic when reading comments...than it actually was. i think its main problem is it presents itself as very sweet and wholesome and then...suddenly isnt. altho i wouldnt say it goes Dark it def goes into territory that was darker than how it starts or ends and it absolutely can give a reader whiplash. basically it doesnt turn into Warehouse (a very dark korean bl webtoon that does traffic in confinement and rape by a childhood friend. tho in that case they start out the story estranged). so having read Warehouse this came off as very tame and people are buggin. but yeah spoiler alert, the "seme" is very possessive but he isnt especially violent or controlling to make the guy love him so much as he freaks out when the guy starts to look unhealthy and start saying he wants to die. which...thats a good reason to freak out! However in real life, when ur longtime crush bff does this maybe dont tie them up and kiss+lick them all over like a human lollipop? opt perhaps for therapy or idk...hugs? some hot tea? anyway this wouldnt be a smutty yaoi manga if that's what actually happened lol. anyway no consequences arise from this act despite the "uke" being confined for what sounds like a week? its weird. but he keeps his job, figures out his feelings, and becomes much healthier after this ordeal so to quote shakespeare "all's well that ends well". anyway its def Problematic but imo not so much that it makes the story unreadable but ymmv ya? i think its worth checking out but the story isnt necessarily strong enough for me to be like "you should DEF read this!" either. it really is just an okay read with a very strange premise and somewhat confused tone...(like the author had a fetish she wanted to work out but still wanted to do a sweet wholesome love story so she tried to marry the two ideas and uh...it didnt work super well lol), basically if you DO want something dark and kinky and messed up...this wont really do it for you either lol. (just read warehouse then). or one of Harada's many fucked up works if ur wanting a more japanese flavor of fucked up.

zariya ranmaru strikes again with the sexy couples and the beautiful art. now with beautifully tanned bottom boy. but there isnt much to this story tbh. its very much all Atmosphere. pretty setting, pretty drawings, sweet but straightforward love story. the usual im in love with my straight bff what do i doooo? dilemma. basically an inverse of the situation in Sleeping Man where the long haired lanky babe is the straight one, this time its the short haired muscle bottom thats the straight one. (zariya has a Type and she will stick to it so help her god lol.)

really loved this one. that great mix of wholesome and super sexy that manga seems to do best.

this wasnt very deep but i did like it enough to read all of it so that says something. i think i always like it when the top is a cute boy who is very in love and not some cold macho asshole. so many times its like THIS GUY IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ME HOW COULD I EVER~~ and im like...no ty. this is the Friends to Lovers trope and you'd think i'd be tired of it by now...but i am not lol. this is a good friends to lovers imo. its hilarious that so many commenters thought the redhead was an evil abuser rapist when...he's nothing of the sort. there is ONE scene that is debtable-y dubcon...and that's it. the brownhaired cutie is actually able to adovcate for himself and isnt some drippy pushover. he's the less overtly affectionate of the two which i like. anyway there is alot of sex but it didnt bore me. i cant say that its esp enlightening or important to the story or characters but it was pleasing to look at and what more can i ask in my R18 webtoons? lol. so yeah if u like friends to lovers and a top that is SUPER in love (kinda like taehee from banana scandal) then this will prob be a nice way to kill 1-2 hrs. (altho this is very vanilla, there is one scene with Kink, so like school girl uniform, spanking, a blindfold, stuff like that. figured it's worth a mention). it is always amusing to me to see which men can get away with doing what to their partners in these stories, its so clearly based around just how hot the readership at large thinks the guy is otherwise this guy wouldnt be getting more shit than the leads in other popular comics in the same genre. (not naming names cause this is a review and not a callout post lol)

a lil sweet, a lil angsty, slice of life childhood friends to lovers story. pretty typical storyline and outcome but it seems i never tire of this trope so here we are. i thought it was good altho it would have benefitted from perhaps one more love scene....(my reiew isnt doing it justice haha cuz im lazy but 3 stars means its a worthwhile read so go on ahead. its not that long either)
