controversial and understandably so but i give it props for trying something a little different in a very oversaturated drama taht does alot of the same things. i continue to be baffled by the take that manga and korean webtoons seem to take with Alphas not simply having biological differences in terms of size, build and ahem penal knot but in fact being somehow born with elevated intelligence or apitutde by virtue of their alpha biology which...is very Eugenics-y and not actually based on how any living species works in real life but ahem. this is like mostly porn lbr so. that in mind i found it to be hot porn. and a nice twist on the usual alphaxomega dynamics. and as someone who eye rolls over Fated Partners ish i did like that them striking out against Fate was a thing. and also that it was a somewhat bittersweet ending instead of happily ever after. however the dub and even noncon is not easily swept under the rug here, and tbh that can def be a turn off for alot of people. for me i enjoy some toxic angsty couples and super fantastical settings like omegaverse are the best place for it imo. but yeah it does bear mention. the secondary couple is arguably more wholesome but imo far more typical omegaverse and thus not super interesting overall tho i think if it had more time to rly dig into the central conflict of that couple it might have worked for me more. tbh the best part of this series may be the spicy af sex scenes haha. but i enjoy the intensity of emotion displayed throughout the work be it desire, hatred, love, jealousy or despair. (it is very flawed as a story cuz alot does happen very quickly and so in the end i couldnt quite give 4 stars even tho i did like it more than not). also...equally baffled by the "alphas when reacting to omega's heat turn into rabid beasts" take on biology as well. again...no species could sustain itself in terms of creating offspring if thats how anyone responded to being horny. using that horniness as justification and excuse for assault is one thing but it literally turning a normally non rapist decent righ tthinking person into a monster is like......pregnancy that comes from that kind of encounter is not viable or healthy. like...ahem but that isnt unique to this story unfortuantely so i couldnt fully critize it for that (but i rly do not care for that, it just feels like a lazy shortcut that doesnt NEED to exist in omegaverse to still be omegaverse imo. like...if BOTH parties became ravenously horny then maybe i would be more ok with it...)

this was....so underwhelming. i could say more but that almost feels like a waste of my time. lol it sounds like i hated it but i didnt i just left the story feeling unsatisfied and kinda bored. but not enough to quit the story mid way. just seems like ti didnt do anything interesting with its omegaverse premise, the love story isnt very romantic or angsty or charming. the bickering isnt rly all that clever or funny. the comedy itself is just very broad. the art is fine and the sex scenes are also fine, not esp erotic but fairly naughty. its too long to be a quick smutty read before bed but doesnt use its length to tell any kind of compelling story. the fact that it ends without either marking, marriage, babies or some other kind of Commitment (and the love making scene is weirdly short and inconsequential despite all the build up to it?). at the end im still not entirely convinced that the alpha is esp invested in the omega and thats a shame. in the end not bad enough to give it 1 star but not enjoyable enough to give it more than 2 (and also their hatred is based on almost nothing, and again doesnt even use that pettiness to be actually funny) there's a better version of this story that ive read elsewhere.

i hate that i read all of this and that it had just enough potential to keep checking back in on it every now and then to see how things had progressed (or not progressed -_-) too bad. its not awful tbh, its just ok. i think i had hopes it would be a little more...thoughtful? than it turned out to be but perhaps thats my fault~ (anyway as is the case with alot of these korean BLs the straight gaze is just overwhelming here) and the story doesnt rly do the best job of convincing me how these two could or would or should work as a couple. it spends more time having them fuck than like actually connecting and knowing that sex scenes can absolutely be used to show a couple getting closer with each other and yet they p much almost never were...yeah. disappointing is how i would define this series overall. basically i wouldnt bother unless u REALLY love omegaverse, in which case this is mid tier. not horrible but not great either. just...ok.
