Honestly, I’m not sure. But I feel like the story needs more drama—like miscommunications or something messy—so they can hurt each other emotionally before things get resolved.
I want the younger brother to try moving on, but then the older brother shows up again, sees him with someone (which is just a misunderstanding), and feels crushed. He’ll regret leaving him behind, and it’ll lead to a big confrontation where all their unresolved feelings come out. After that, they can finally fix things and make up.
