The Villainess Who Steals the Heroine's Heart
A Way To Protect The Lovable You
Ch. 91 – Did Leticia really just seduce her husband while chaos is literally unfolding across the continent because of her rampaging wings? Like… seriously? That’s some horrible timing. After everything that happened in the holy palace, you just go home and forget—or worse, don’t care—about the innocent people getting hurt because of you? Josephina’s obviously furious, Calisto is still chasing her, and somehow your priority is sex to ‘feel alive’? I get the emotional weight of the conversation, but… maybe save it for when you've actually dealt with the disasters you caused? It’s honestly giving me whiplash. The pacing is so inconsistent—one minute she’s publicly declaring herself as the real saintess, and the next, it’s like… all of that just vanished and she’s back home having a honeymoon? What even happened in between? Why does it feel like the story’s patching up holes with random scenes that don’t match the urgency? It’s messy. And this moment just feels icky and tone-deaf to the overall situation. That said, I do like the theme of the story. The ML might look basic, but he’s the greenest flag I’ve seen—he’s a whole forest. And the FL is kind, your typical MC, but their love is sweet. I won’t deny that, even though I can’t help but picture them like they’re 15-year-olds in a high school romance. The whole thing feels like a story I would've written in high school—strong FL, lovable green-flag husband, villains who are defeated with the power of friendship or wings or whatever. But hey, I’m not trying to be too harsh—it is cute. It’s just… the first few chapters were really confusing. At first, it shows Leticia seemingly killing her husband in his sleep. Then 2–3 chapters later, nope—that didn’t happen. Instead, Leticia’s on her deathbed while a war’s raging outside, making it seem like she’s dying now. Then more chapters later, that’s not what happened either—it turns out Ditrain faced Josephina and killed himself, while Leticia lived but was captured and brought back to the holy palace… and then died later. The storyline just feels so inconsistent. Like, you think a plotline is wrapped up, and then suddenly many chapters later they “continue” that same scene and say it didn’t end there—only to add another continuation, and another version of what really happened. It’s like the story is being stretched out to look like it has more lore than it actually does. You get what I mean?
