Here's the thing. Reading stuffs like this comforts me so fuck off. It's really really REALLY good though-

Let's start with how this affected my whole reading list. Went to the top straight away. I couldn't stop reading it. My favorite character is probably Yao Qingshan, he went through so much and the way his story turned out at the end is so heart wrenching. Oh si Yan Ci den hehe. This story contains of war, singing and a lot of comedy that will make your emotions fucked up kase they will appear in the most dramatic scenes possible. Anyways, I really love this story. KASE IT WAS MY ONLY COMFORT WHILE I WAS DYING BECAUSE OF RESEARCH. This story is like parang connected?? sa isang play called; "The story of the Western Wing" or "The Romance of the West Chamber" and It's my favorite play of ALL TIMES. The way I was so infatuated with the story kasi it's so secretive and you know I always have a liking sa mga ganoong klase romantic stories. Like alam mo yung mga romantic upbringing? Okay for example like it first started with the couple having the same hideout and they didnt know pero sometimes they'll just see random things na parang may tao dun before them tas one of them decided to leave a note tas after some time nagcross sila ng paths and boom. I love those stories kase you'll know more about what they think not just yung agad-agad. You know, all of the characters here are very cunning and sly and it makes me feel uneasy pero kahit na ganon, its still my comfort story nonetheless. I like the part na kinakanta nung babae yung isang part sa play where her character set up a date for the couple tas yun din nangyayare kay Yan Ci and Chen Qiming while she's sining it, "Come early tonight." (not exactlt sure pero sige) One of my favorite scenes den is yung sumayaw si Yan Ci pati yung kapatid ni Chen Qiming and that one time prinetty si Chen Qiming ng mga babae sa brothel for his date with Yan Ci (IT WAS THE MULAN SCENE LMFAO) and they thought magiging bottom si Chen Qiming, boy were they wrong. I REALLY LOVE THOSE STUFF kase it makes me feel like I'm melting kahit na at the same time nagseselos ako. This story will always have a special place in my heart I cannot describe how much I adore this manhwa. UPDATE: WHAJAJAJAKAKAKSK OMG Chen Qiming was furious after he found the mask that Anatoli would always wear under sa bed ni Yan Ci and he barged outside the room tas yung sumalubong sa kanya is yung tatay ni Yan Ci and his sons (omfg) tas nakatapis lang siya. KEEP IN MIND THAT WARLORD SI YAN BOTIAN PATI LAHAT NG MGA ANAK NIYA TAS MAGAGALIT NA DAPAT SIYA WHEN SUDDENLY NALAGLAG TAPIS NIYA. All of them were staring at him. Pero I'm ready na sa angst kasi sa bandang dulo ng latest chapter, nung tinutulungan siya ni Yan Ci tas ang sama ng tingin niya. UGH I'M SO READY TO THROW MY HEART OFF A BUILDING AND LET IT SHATTER. UPDATE: I was not ready to throw my heart off a building and let it shatter. UPDATE: Yan Ci suffering (again) arc Update: Childhood arc na a.k.a Chen Qiming and Anatoli arc. UPDATE: I am now in 10th grade and nahsimula na ulit na iupdate toh so thankful ako don #Bles-sed sa ayun nga NAGBATI NA SI YAN CI AND CHEN QIMING pero syemprebmay gera paren, Japanese na ngayon kalaban nila. I love 1930s China it's so chaotic, so full of discourse, just everything will make you choose to kys but anyways ang tagal na ren sijce nabasa ko toh pero I STILL LOVE IT WALANG NAGBAGO gusto ko pa rin sa Peking Opera (mas lumala pa nga ata ever since napanood ko yung 'Farewell, My Concubine' eh. Fun fact, nasa cr ako ngayon so I'll stop my update here na muna YUN LANG MWAH MWAH CHUP CHUP!!

This reminded me so much of the books I always read back then. The romance here is so immaculate I cannot help but to read the whole thing in one sitting. I think the couple is progressing smoothly naman but I hope that Maxi will soon develop into someone who can smile with no worries. Seeing her always overthinking things hurts me since I can feel her worries as well. The art is outstanding and I would patiently wait for more chapters to come.
