A story about a boy who is being attracted after listening to another boy's singing. Uenoyama is a band member, who lost interest in music after so long. Then he meets Satou at his usual place to take a nap at school. Then they begin practicing guitar together. One day, after Uenoyama listens to Satou's singing voice, he asks him to join his band but later being refused. Then it reveals that Satou had a boyfriend at middle school who also played music. But that boyfriend died of suicide and the rumor said that it was caused by Satou. Later on, when the band makes a music, Satou is asked to write the lyrics. At first he refused but then he says that he will give it a try. He tells everyone that he will express his feelings for his dead boyfriend by music. It triggers Uenoyama's jealousy. Really, I can't wait to read the next chapter, bud sadly this manga is being dropped by the scanlations group. I love music, and am so grateful to find this amazing piece, especially since the artist is Gusari, the one who has written some doujinshi about IwaOi. EDIT: Can't believe it's updated days after I read the last chapter. My luck. Okay, now here they are, strange, awkward. Uenoyama seems like distancing himself from Satou, and Satou too acting strange. I don't know why. he hasn't written the lyrics also. The thing is, the problems arise, and there's a possibility that the band will get disbanded by that. Okay, so painful. Being gay doesn't mean having no future, you know. It's okay as long as we love the soul, not the gender. 8.5 9 8.5 9

Amai Jouken

Complete | hyuuga seiryou | 2009 released

The first story is nice, about French Restaurant workers. Well, everything in that restaurant isn't meticulously described for it focuses more on the romance side. It's nice actually, hot seme and hot uke. The seme is sometimes sexy but he also acts like a teenager in love. So does the uke. The sex scenes are hot enough. That's a good point. But I feel something is missing. Still not realising it. The second story is... meh. I don't like it. That's why I only give this manga three stars. There's a lot of plot hole, and despite the lack of pages amount, there's just too little to describe. The seme I can say is hypocrite, and the uke is somewhat annoying. The story is cliche, the reconciliation is ugh... I just don't like it. 8.5 8.5 8.5 8.5

Kiraboshi Dial

Complete | NATSUME Isaku | 2000 released

It's really good. despite the lack of the sex scenes (only two LOL but still decent enough) The uke is cute, but also responsible for he is a doctor. The seme is a bit annoying but cool. I wanted to see more of his bright side. It's such a pity to have a tragic past like his. And thus, I want them to be together forever. There's still a feeling of something incomplete, but it can't be helped since this manga is already finished. I love it. All of Natsume Isaku's words are heavenly. 8.5 9 8.6 9

Chapter 4.5 (12 February 2013) Summary: Nishina is doing well at his prestigious company but after divorcing from a loveless marriage his success at work seems empty. A chance meeting at a cafe brings him into contact with the owner, Miyama, an old high-school classmate. It seems that Miyama has forgotten him until he asks Nishina why he's no longer wearing a wedding ring and what Nishina said to him 10 years ago in high school. This one is good. I underestimated this at the beginning since it seemed boring. But, after I forced myself to read through the end, I just realised that it had more meaning that it showed to me. Like, really good. At first I didn't know who the seme was and who the uke was, but it was obvious in some chapter. The seme, Miyama, was bothered by the failure of his first love in high school with Nishina. After ten years of graduation, they met again. Nishina who was married and then divorced because he seemed to not being able to forget his past, and Miyama who just couldn't let anyone love him. Their re-encounter triggered the old feelings from the past, and complicated things even more. But I just love how they got back together. Even though, it seemed like, Miyama still couldn't trust a hundred percent of Nishina's feeling for him. Great, I love the art. As expected from the mangaka of Yuuutsu na Asa. 8.5 9 8.5 8.5

Chapter 8 (7 May 2013) Summary: N/A It's amazing. I really like this manga since it's different from any other cliche manga. About science, and gods, and yeah, the love is in the air. First story is about fungi researchers. The uke was recruited as a professor's assistant, and then while doing so they came close until one day, the uke realised he fell in love with the seme. When the seme pulled him to go to a beautiful forest at night, the uke confessed, but things went awkward. The other day, the uke resigned. Yet, the seme seemed like couldn't do without the uke. He didn't hire any assistant. Then one day, they met again, and reconciled. It's super sweet despite of the age gap. The second story is definitely my favorite. The uke could see fish in the air from sleeping men. One day, he saw the seme sleep in the library. When he approached him silently, his own fish was pulled inside the seme's body and never came out. Since that day on, he couldn't find his fish. But at the brighter side, his relationship with the seme grew closer. Until he collapsed and was brought to the infirmary. The seme suddenly could see the fish too, and yeah, the uke got his own fish back. But they confessed to each other and kissed. So sweet. I really wish it were longer! The idea is genius. The third story is good also. About a man whose grandfather died. When he came to the grandfather's house, he met a young boy who mysteriously came to the house but in hidden. At first, I thought he was the grandfather in his early life. I thought of incest haha. But later on, the boy kept coming bringing some flowers, fruits or anything from mountain. Until he was found out that he was a squirrel god. It's good, but I really expected for a more twisted one. Overall, this manga is simply amazing. I love it. The art is good even though in the first story it used so much tone. 8.5 9 9 9

Sayonara, Itoshi No My Friend

Complete | enzou | 2011 released

Chapter 11 (13 August 2014) Summary: Tatsuo is a makeup artist for a fashion photographer and is sick and tired of the models fawning over the new hairstylist, Haga. One morning, he comes across one of the models running out of Haga's room with tears in her eyes and has a long talk with him about how rude and antisocial he is. That's when Tatsuo realizes, Haga doesn't really know how to treat others and doesn't even have a single friend - until now? It's really amazing. I love how the author engaged human's emotions really well and realistically. Hajime was an expressionless, friendless man who claimed not needing anyone. He was a priority child so he didn't understand his own need. So Tatsuo made effort to be his first friend and helped him to get more friends or at least get more socialized. While doing so, Tatsuo had to struggle with his own growing feelings for Hajime. He loved him, but since it would only be burden to Hajime, he pipped it off, concealing it between his concern as a friend. But Hajime, finally feeling he got a friend, didn't understand his own feeling. When they kissed for the first time, he didn't understand and chose to stay away. Later in the main conflict, when he was caught by camera that he was kissing a woman, he didn't care anything but Tatsuo. He was only afraid of Tatsuo's rejection on him. So ... with face unexpectedly wet from tears, he confessed. I really liked it. The second story was alright too, it was about Hajime's older brother who seemingly hated him for being the top priority of their parents. Just like inferiority complex. No one had high expectation for him. Until one day, his coworker confessed to him. Then he accepted him. In their relationship, Makoto, (the older brother), started to feel loved. Finally there was someone who could accept his imperfection. But when they met Hajime somewhere and the seme talked to him freely, Makoto felt anxious again. So he asked to break up, before the wound went even deeper. But it didn't last long. He saw his little brother happy, he wanted to be to. When it was time to reconcile, it was done beautifully. It touched my heart. Really lovely. But still, I think the first story was way better. 3.5 (unique, esp the facial expression, but not good enough) 4 4 4

Gozen Yoji, Sasayaku You Ni

Complete | minazuki akira | 2010 released

Chapter 1 (16 February 2011) Summary: One day, Souichirou met a mysterious guy at bar he frequents. The first thing that guy told him was, “You look like you’re about to die”. Souichirou, however, did not find that the least bit amusing and brushed it off easily. Until his first encounter with danger and then everything started to spiral out of control… This one is really nice. It's okay if people think the otherwise or anything. But really I like this manga. A beautifully drawn supernatural shounen ai manga about a man who met a death god. "Seems like you're about to die." And then the death god followed him. From here, he often met near-death experiences. But still, he was saved. Until one day, he met a big accident and was hospitalized seriously. He saw Michi (the death god) whispering to an old man next to his bed and the man died. Then he believed. When Michi approached him and opened his oxygen mask, he thought it was time to leave. But, Michi actually kissed him. Since then, Michi never appeared in front of him. But still, years passed, Michi was always there. Actually standing near him all the time. Whispering to his hear every 4 am in the morning. "When you wake up ... Can you kiss me?" Seriously this manga is beautiful. I can never get enough of this type of story. 4 4 4 4.5

Rival - Tokubetsu Na Otoko

Complete | yamakami riyu | 2015 released

Chapter 3 (10 September 2016) Summary: N/A Similar to Kagehina's pairing so much. Especially at the beginning. Two rivals played a match and then the uke lost. They had such a vengeance. Then in the university, they met again, and then shared to be a partner. See, so much like KageHina! And then they became so powerful! I can't believe it. And then, it revealed then that the reason behind the seme never touched other's belongings was because he had mysophobia. I think this manga was interesting. But the sex scene was so fast and it was unsatisfying with ugly dick censorship. And then, the ending too wasn't really accomplishing. I feel bothered. 2.5 3 3 3.5

Chapter 4.5 (27 April 2015) Summary: Being a virgin employee, Yamashita had dreamed to sleep at least once with his most favorite gay porn star, Hikaru. From there, he has an unbelieveable encounter when he left from work! During the middle of the intercourse, however, it turns out that the man isn't Hikaru, but someone called Asazaki Ryuuichi...! "...Who on earth are you?!" Nice, really good. I've got this from rec of a friend. It had unusual theme and the ending was quite satisfying. I feel so bad for the uke for his dark past. Really, people should stop judging LGBT too much. They do no harm. And in here, I feel so bad, really. But the uke was quite strong and the seme was deviously caring it seemed like a dream. I'd like to see the continuation. 3.5 4 4 4
