cute story about two friends that develop romantic feelings for one another, granted at slightly different paces. the story deals with social ideologies, realistic life/death topics, and self growth. Romantic scenes are proper and to my surprise they even brought up the topic of consent - which is always a great thing to have in media.

This is a wonderful story about kotodama (people with the power of words) and their kami (paper dolls that will accept any injuries inflicted on the kotodama). The story itself is a collection of stories about different kotodamas: how they gained their kamis and how they interact with each other. It was a true pleasure to read and see how their individual stories were all connected like fibers of a fine lace. The romances developed - some start off rocky and some develop into trusting loving relationships. The story takes you on a generational journey from the establishment of the kotodama/kami relationship to the "present day" actuality. Overall the story takes you on an emotional roller coaster and I won't spoil the end... but you will be glad you read the story as you click to the last page!
