focuses on worldbuiding- literally- she has a fief. The villainess reincarnated at the time she is being punished. With quick thinking, she avoids her banishment and works to prove herself by bringing her family's fief towards glory. As she and her country grows, she'll soon have to return to her tragic past and rejoin high society. But there's something strange about the heroine and everyone who's infatuated with her, specifically the second prince's faction. All the while, a war brews between the two kingdoms. Very compelling. Not much stories go in depth about the ins and outs of what it's like to rule a country and I haven't yet seen someone use their past life's economic advancements as an easy head start in developing the fantasy society.

Even though the premise is about 'living in the otome game'. The 'otome game' takes a back seat to bear fruit to the adorable young couple that is entirely devoted to each other. They're both overly-powered. Just wholesomeness all around.

Endo and Kobayashi take advantage of the games' "glitch" to help everyone get a happy ending. They lead the only person that can hear them, the crown prince, to encourage the heroine to polish her abilities, to set up a proper love interest for the heroine, and most importantly, to fall in love with incredibly adorable "soon d'rey" (tsundere XD) villainess.

The Villainess' Slow Prison Life Began With Her Broken Engagement

J'aime le comedie~ A really hard spin on the "heroine takes the crown prince from the villainess and the villainess is punished for her 'crimes'." The villainess never bullied the heroine, and in actuality, the villainess had the forethought that this was gonna happen, and so, prepared to be locked up in order to meticulously carry out her hilarious revenge. She supplied herself with 3 months' worth of stock and lived her best life 'vacationing' in prison. This is straight-up crack and best read not taken seriously, however, there's also a layer of thoughtfulness. Certain things resurface to be neatly tied off. I need more.

The White Cat That Swore Vengeance Was Just Lazing on the Dragon Kings Lap

Ongoing | Yamigo kureha,Aki | 2000 released

She can't shake off her childhood friend, so much so that they end up together... IN ANOTHER WORLD. Apparently her friend is the holy maiden and the protagonist ends up being banished by that kingdom. She discovers that she's the chosen one and is loved by the spirits. After being loved and trained by a grandma in the forest, she embarks on a journey to the [beastmen] kingdom, where she's treated well... AS A CAT! How did this happen? Why is it so hard to just say the truth about your identity? I'd feel bad lying to them for even a second longer. They'd be more hurt if you withhold the truth for even longer. It's almost frustrating, she's very close into the typical 'idiotic' female protagonist that I hate so much. The story is only making her stretch her "i am not a cat" confession for drama, but to be honest, it's quite cheap and boring. It adds nothing compelling to the story, yet it's /acting/ as if it's some big revelation.

Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku

Ongoing | Shiki,Hasumi Natsume | 2000 released

This is from the "otome game but I am the villainess" genre, however, it's told from the crown prince's perspective. It's quite refreshing, also he's lowkey highkey a sadist. The villainess is absolutely adorable and you can't help but fall in love with her, especially since the story's told through her lover's perspective. Because she loves the crown prince so much, she resigns herself to the role of the villainess and decides to be the best villainess ever!! The evil-heroine-being-also-reincarnated is executed very well. Even though she might not have been a bad guy for expecting things to play out in the way she knew it will (even when it doesn't), she really did descend into the crazy beautifully.

Beware of the Brothers!

Complete | Plutus,민이영 | 2019 released

The Ernst family's precious daughter passed away, as a result Mama Ernst is slowly going crazy... that is, until she met Hari, a homeless girl who just lost her mother and looks identical to the late Ernst daughter. They adopt her and care for her like they would their own, except, the three brothers who despise the stranger who took their parents' affection. She lived through the nightmare they put her through and is finally marrying into a different family. Then she wakes up and finds herself in her younger body... reliving the life she almost escaped from. This story needs more tragedy if it was going to be about a 'blood-and-tear-inducing life' caused by her adoptive brothers. They should've made the brothers as terrible as she said they were. Everything we've SEEN so far was petty and childish bullying. They haven't properly established what the stakes are; they haven't shown how terrible her mistreatment was, they've only told us "oh, and the brothers are despicable" and "they're young and childish now, but soon they'd do even worse". They should've showed us that in her past memory, when she was being docile/obedient/considerate, she was still bullied relentlessly, so now in the present, she's going to act without consideration. But the worst abuse she got wasn't even from the her 'terrible' brothers, it was from her aunt whose only purpose is to be a bad person so that the brothers can punish the aunt and show Hari that they care about her. To truly set the stakes, they should've given us a detailed flashback of her trauma surrounding them like if she were experiencing ptsd. From what they've SHOWN, it just seemed like they only did some petty bullying, like taking her toys, taking candy, forcing her to wild play with them, tripping her, calling names, purposefully bumping into her etc. Any time I felt scared for her was when I imagined worse scenarios, because it never felt like she was in any real danger BECAUSE of her brothers. Eugene is my favorite brother.

Takane no Hana wa Chirasaretai

Complete | Sakyo Aya | 2000 released

iT'S nOt rAPe If iT's oMEgAveRsE♡~~ Florist x Coffee Shop au. With omegaverse. Nothing else really. He didn't even make back up with his brother or take his feelings seriously. His brother was just existing to add tension to the plot. I thought there was gonna be a familial thing that he needed to sort out, especially since he was kicked out for something that he couldn't control, and his brother doesn't seem to know that and just assumed he abandoned him. His brother obviously still loved him, offering to cook for him and take care of him, but they write him off as someone with no complex feelings. I thought that the brother was at least going to get a chance to explain his feelings or what he'd felt when his brother suddenly "left" and in the end get properly rejected. But no, they just left him high and dry, like he can only do wrong. Maybe this manga wasn't meant to be taken seriously the moment it fell into the "sexually taking advantage of a person under an influence they cannot control." Why can't alphas just be decent human beings and just get suppressants for them? Most alphas seem to have a sense of control when they smell an omega in heat, and let's just say that the story dictates that alphas ALSO fall victim to an influence they cannot control because of the heat of an omega, it's not the case for this story or alpha because for the very least, he seemed to have some semblance of control over himself, seeing as he was able to lead him back to his apartment and have his way with him, all the while calling him stinky for 'seducing' him with his pheromones. The omega even said that he doesn't often get heats in the first place, so it wasn't intentional enough to say he 'sEDuCed' the alpha. Another thing, it seemed like they brought up an arc, where everything is equal between the genders, with equal opportunities, just like 'normal'. Before the boss finds out he's an omega, he gets considered to be promoted full-time, but then after finding out he was an omega, the boss tells him that he'll have to reconsider his promotion, since he's an omega with a troublesome schedule because of his heats. Then he feels depressed that he can't get full-time since life for an omega is difficult. I thought they were gonna expand on this more. But I put too much hope into things man. One thing that I want to praise this manga for, is it's absolutely stunning art.
