She was always looking for approval from other. The Baron notices her and convinces her that he loves her and that she should be his shadow summoner. She is naive and stays by his side him getting all her glory he starts to crave for more power making her look for other sources so she can summon bigger beasts this eventually kills her. She goes back in time ⏲ and this time she is no longer looking for anyone's approval only becoming stronger she asks the Duke for an alliance in order to get out of the engagement with the Baron. The Duke and her are now married and they are little by little starting to fall in love with eachother

Katrina is trying together out of marrying a disgusting man she goes out with the Intention to get pregnant to someone else. She meets a man that happens to be a grand Duke and 3 years later she ends up marrying his. She finally tells him the truth in chapter 38 (that its his son)
