ew ew ew e w ew e w e w we w e w i hate that i read this . the only reason i read this to the end is because of my policy of "if you start a story, follow through until the end" and also because harada sensei has GORGEOUS artwork. this is a fuckED UP manhwa. there is no happy ending. while it seems happy in the surface, once you realize how fucked up everything about this story is, it stops being a happy ending and more like the end to a vicious cycle of pedophilia. don't read if youre sensitive to matters or pedophilia or rape. this is gross and the grooming is awful to watch happen.

its a really good manhwa, don't get me wrong. i lowered the score because its really just angst porn and also because (SPOILERbumdiesSPOILER). don't read if you're looking for a healthy relationship troupe. this manhwa is DARK, and the author discourages shipping of the two main characters since they have an abusive relationship. trigger warning for rape, child abuse, domestic abuse, gore, csa.

i ..... i have no words.... this was a terrifying work. if you look beyond the gore, you see the true darkness of this manga. even without the gore this would have shook me to my core.

i hate hate hate stories like these. i normally don't like abo stories because they're all copies of each other in this sense. the omega is abused and looked down upon by society, big kind alpha saves them from other big bad alpha. omega is healed! yay! the end. these stories hide under a false pretense of "bringing awareness of the class divisions seen even in reality through fictional means", when in reality its just angst porn with a 'happy ending'. the class division wasn't even solved within the main couple! chikage is now His forever. sure he consented to it, but he's still his to own. and normally i wouldn't be upset by this if the author never meant to make the 'bridge between sexes' point in the first place, but its very obvious that the author attempted to write some sort of savior story in where an alpha who is not like the others saves the omega and then owns him BUT ITS NOT AS BAD AS THE REST OF SOCIETY HERE BECAUSE CHIKAGE CONSENTED!!! chikage is no longer's his family's property, he's the other dude's (whose name i forgot because he's an utterly boring and unimaginative character with no substance other than 'not like the other alphas) property now. BUT AT LEAST HE'S HAPPY, RIGHT? garbage fire. the art is what saved the rating for this manga because the artist is very talented. otherwise the story and characters are boring.

listen. im all for gore, okay? but i feel like the gore here is wayyyy out of proportion. its just distasteful at this point.

um. it was an okay story... it was rather predictable, to be entirely honest. i loved the art, and the gore was very well done too. it has a bit of a silly plot, if you think about it. but i enjoyed it.
