At this point, I can't help feeling respect for how much of a strong person Paul is. Paul is the kind of character that is misunderstood by most of the people for being dubious and deviant from people's 'ideal' type of lover or husband. He sure made this clear at this point that being gay doesn't stop you from fulfilling the duties of a son, or a husband or father. Accepting your true self doesn't mean being secluded from the society, but you can be responsible to everything and everyone around you and still be the person you want to be, without running away. Well, there was a point when he did want to run away holding the hand of the man he loves because he didn't want to ditch everyone for long terms in his life. But he was betrayed at there too. With a broken heart he continued to live on. He decided to take the biggest truth in his life to his grave because he couldn't make anyone he loves unhappy. It's true that he's gay. He was born that way, unable to love a woman. Yet he married Judy, had kids just to fulfill his duty as a man of a sophisticated family. Is love only meant by physical relationship? Then what he feels for his wife and family, the need of protecting them is nothing? Such a strong feeling as love has more than one way of explaining. Paul never burdened anyone with the hardships of his life. If such a man is treated as a cheater, a lecherous villain then I can say all I feel for such a man is love and respect and I'm proud for that.
