I started off learning basics with Duolingo and when that was sorted I studied from a textbook which I still sometimes use. Google translate should really be avoided at all times but can be used if known how to. Honestly it is just a lot of study time. I still struggle and it took me about 2 years to know what I know now. But it is great fun leaning
Thank you for your hard work as a translator! Are there ant tips you can share for learning to read Japanese? So far I've only memorized kana and basic radicals. I'm about to start learning kanji using the kanjidamage.com method.
