every time I check the comment section after reading a new chapter.....there has to be someone pointing out Jeremy's feelings towards Shuri as "weird". It is not weird at all. Shuri was only 16 when she was brought in by their father as his 'wife in papers'. One of the main reasons why she was brought in was because the Marques knew he would pass away soon and he needed someone to look after his kids and the mansion as a guardian till Jeremy turns 18. Why? Because he knew that his relatives will rush towards his kids in greed of his money.
Also Shuri reminded him of his first love......that's weird.
So since Jeremy has only seen her as a girl growing up by his side it's natural for him to catch feelings for her. Well Nora is the endgame but I have a lot of respect for Jeremy for keeping his feelings to himself and not burdening or obsessing over Shuri like the crown prince.(〜￣△￣)〜

I think the weirdest one is the marquess and I really hate it when Shuri thinks of him as a good person. He basically bought her off from her parents. It may not have been a good place but she wasn’t responsible for other children. Married just To be a guardian for his kids. You pos she is the same damn age as your kids! Teach your kids what they need to know instead of buying off someone else’s childhood. He had a lot of trustworthy servants he could have easily designated anyone as a manager and let Jeremy handle the affairs in his will. He just needed to keep the child who looked like someone he loved close to him. That’s the only excuse. And all the hardships she had to go through are just because of the marquess’ greed.
I agree, but honestly Shuri probably only thinks of him as a good person because he essentially "groomed" her. A young teenage girl with a much older, calm and "kind" man will idolize them. It's like your teenage girl friend having a crush on your much older brother, you know? She only ever saw the surface of him
Yea I understand which is why it infuriates me. We are so far into the story and Shuri has lived longer than she appears now. She should realise what was done to her by someone she considers kind. She too smart not to realise she was conditioned into loving and protecting the marquess’ children. Or at least Jeremy or Nora should realise with their outsider’s perspective. But thus far this aspect hasn’t even been touched.

That’s quite possible because he was overly controlling of her. Remember that incident when someone sent her a gift? He was furious and acted as she had acted inappropriately that’s why she got a gift from a guy when she hadn’t done anything wrong but still had to apologise and clarify.
