It is how Korean says "we" probably but it got poorly translated to English.

Naah, the demon refers himself as 'we' because Bezelbuth or whatever that real demon name is an identity of multiple demons merged as one

    That's actually false.

The reason is the same as I stated. Korea, Chinese, etc have this third person way of addressing yourself especially if you are of a high position. For them I guess it is a first person form? This is especially true for older Korean and Chinese times. Kings and emperors had a specific word for referring to themselves. For Chinese emperors it was "Zhen". Concubines and empresses also had their own. Noblities of certain ranks retained their own form of referring to themselves as well as commoners and slaves. "This slave girl", "This lowly one" which is "Nubi" "Niucai" etc. Their form of addressing themselves often revealed their status.

In this instance, the demon is referring to himself as someone honorable/a king. "Jim" is the way a king would refer to himself in Korean. It didn't translate over because of the bad translation. Often it can be translated as "I, Me, or We" depending on context but all would be referring to the individual using it and would hint at his status.

Unfortunately these subtleties are lost in translations to us english readers.

Tbh, i dont want mgg to go away. When it was down, i had to find the second best thing to mgg and the best i could find was the owl. My problem with the owl is it took so long to update chapters and the original title isn’t available in some manhwas.
