theres only so much slow burn & slow pace i can take. visually, this manwha is beautiful. but thats pretty much where it ends. the story starts off confusing in the sense that places & people are never explained, just discussed as if you already know them & why theyre supposedly so significant. honestly that in itself would probably have been enough to make me stop reading, because you really just get dropped into a cast of characters who are all treated like big shots, with zero world building to make that viable. & the fl is the worst in that regard. Even for a manwha, Charlotte comes off VERY dramatic & mary sue. From the beginning of her rebirth shes placed in all these dramatically badass or dangerous scenes, (even though she has almost no mana & supposedly cant do like... anything?) But its all for the purpose of just making her look dramatic & badass every time a male character looks at her when in reality shes doing nothing. Show dont tell is not done well with Charlotte. We're told over & over how amazing & powerful & just out of this world she is, but all she ever does is act awkward while being drawn dramatically like, flashbacks are not a proper "show" in the show dont tell. It just serves to reinforce this convoluted mary sue, supposedly super powerful but is now uwu squishy girl who must be protected by somehow we're all still terrified of her? It just falls flat. The execution is all wrong. Also, finally... this is NOT a romance as advertised lmao. The whole point of the manwha of Charlotte living again to find love is completely abandoned in like, twelve chapters. The slow burn between her and Jeffrey hardly even counts as slow burn at this point bc its dragged for so long. If it hadnt been marketed as a romance manwha & the PREMISE being romance & finding love, then the slow burn would flow better. Since it was though, the lack of, you know, actual romance is a glaring issue. two stars for the visuals & would could have been a better story in more talented hands, but im dropping it bc honestly its just a bad story

i really wanted to love it, and i think i would... but this translation is absolute dogshit lol. i have literally zero idea what theyre trying to say or convey anymore and im only on chapter 12. i cant find a better translation anywhere ive looked, all the sites have these same scans. its too bad, theres not many stories in this trope that are complete, so i was excited about it. but hand to god this translation ruined whatever this story is supposed to be about.
