I'm gonna guess that since he was mate-bonded at such a young age and if, like ANY NORMAL YOUNG ADULT FRESH OUTTA UNI/COLLEGE, and who had only wanted FWB relationships at the time, that he wouldn't have wanted to settle down and have kids. There's a POSSIBILITY that he WOULD have taken responsibility, but we'd never know, since Noah had never informed him. But, back to this timeline, perhaps it's due time he goes in search of a relationship. And as discussed before, if an alpha and an omega wants to form a kid, they need to mate-bond. If, let's say four years later, he wanted to settle down (with someone) and have kids, he now has to search for his mate, in order to have kids. Kids fresh out of University may not want kids right away. I don't know WHEN Ian had found out Noah is his mate, but there must have been some time lapse before he had found out and then decided to go search for him. Unless the mate bond can be broken, I doubt he can have kids with another omega. Ppl are freaked out Ian will take the kid cuz of other Omegaverses (even though we know each one has a slight tweak to it so it's unique) and for some reason they view SiYeon as "Noah's child" even though it is his sperm that helped form that child. Anyways, aside from parental rights, he wants to help raise the child, since it's THEIR child. I'm pretty sure he won't be coercing Noah into it. Might be high time he has to woo his mate anyways.
