ugh... I tend to avoid historical ones, because no matter where the story is being pictured, it'll portray more oppression than we already deal with... I should have listened to my gut here. the emperor scene with both of them grossed me out... I just felt overall sad. whatever if you see fiction totally detached from reality, I can't do that. I really don't like the historical ones. but I can see a lot of people loving this... ┗( T﹏T )┛

characters: good! plot: good! art: good! overall: great great read! (☆▽☆) I enjoyed it a lot. I think most of us who have siblings can relate to ir more or less. this case was too much imo, but I have no doubts there are a lot of people who go through this. the last page filled me with joy, with both of them finally being released from their background's shackles, finding happiness, accepting themselves and having great partners beside them. it was really well written. I love this.

I'm not really into yuri/shoujo ai and I think this was the first one that I actually liked. it's suuuppahhh slow at the beginning, I wouldn't read it again, but it pays off. Akko is awesome! I loved her reactions and overall personality. I just wasn't fond of the chapter about Sugiyama, it didn't get anywhere. and I kept expecting to see more of how they'd handle their relationship after getting together, the end was pretty rushed imo. I'd totally take care of an Akko or Tamamin shrunken version though ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

this is what happens when you put a good human being with a bunch of selfish assholes. I really like happy endings, but this time I wish the uke had just left these pricks and made a good life for himself, with an epilogue years later showing him with a decent seme and Kima being a slouchy PE teacher somewhere. alone. eating cup noodles forever.

I'm with you! managing school + expectations + chores + dumb people. and he couldn't even put some real thought if he wanted to do it all or not. I found it very low of both his father and Kima to instill more pressure on Kadokura. Kima's behaviour was misleading, he could at least have acted more understanding.( ̄へ ̄)

I totally agree! I would love to see him leave these selfish people and make a life for himself! Forget that bastard seme!
But I do like that ex-man apologized to him... But that didn't help at all, he was cruel anyway. And why the hell it has comedy tag?! That wasn't funny at all! It was heartbreaking!

I'm just gonna pretend that's how it ended, with the one exception of Kadokura not just leaving on his own, but someone noticing the situation and getting him the hell out of there so that he would have help and support trying to get over the harsh years of his childhood. Platonically, then finding love and happiness with a respectful, understanding, caring and loving seme

nah I would rather seeing him leave on his own, be the one to decide for himself instead of act like a damsel in distress. It was so good to see him rebel. Because after all, it wasn't exactly... Child neglect/abuse in legal sense. Maybe having another adult act like a father/ mother figure and support him in his decisions and life.
this could have been so much more memorable and interesting if sensei had used its length to address issues that would have come across after they were established as a couple!! seriously, 3 volumes?! just to beat around the bush... I found it refreshing at first cause it seemed it wouldn't take much time for them to reveal their feelings for each other, but then it all boiled down to yusuke's insecurities and doubts being overly used to push the story forward, and along with itou's manipulative actions, it became boring very fast. I really wanted to see how they'd manage the public eye after becoming boyfriends! and she could have expanded mike's, tada's and manager-san's characters too. I'm just disappointed, this had so much potential and the art was beautiful too.
