She does get character development

I think it's a good thing to read about a FL who's not written like a "female man" to seem tough and cool, and actually progresses and becomes powerful in her own femininity and sweetness

Oh? I'm sorry you understood it that way. That's not what I meant. I was talking about how media usually deprives any strong female (girl boss) character of traditionaly feminine traits as if a FL can't be firm and powerful with them. Which I hope we agree isn't true.

oh i see, thanks for clarifying! yes i do agree with you on that 100%. i think my general issue with this manhwa specially would be the fact that she's still considerably weak and i prefer more fast paced and over powered manhwas buttt im still gonna give it a read :)

Maxi doesn't become overpowered overnight, neither does she got over her self doubts and insecuirties that way either but she still tries everyday to be better, she's very realisitc in my opinion and I don't even view her as weak like how a lot of ppl here think. Maxi had an extremely fucked up upbringing where there wasn't a day where she wasn't treated like a slightly useful trash u need to dump on a man real quick. Her own husband who she was forced to marry literally only slept with her in a lowkey rapey and horrible way then disappeared for 2 years (which she was blamed for and only increased her mistreatment) Maxi is incredibly strong cuz if I was in her position I woulda killed these hoes then peaced out but she's still here fighting and trying to improve herself despite her struggles. Maxi is strong asf while being kind and caring.

well when you compare her to ruby she seems weak to me

but i do agree that she is strong willed and yes very realistic which is why i was so prejudiced against it since its not usually the type of manhwa i like to read. the kind i read makes me forget about the world for a second.

Just cuz ppl process trauma differently doesn't mean one is weak and the other isn't. Also, what makes ruby strong and maxi weak? Honestly we still haven't gotten to the good part of the story but trust maxi will become stronger just give her time

i don't know how to word or explain why i think so, but yes i will be reading it through and then making my own judgements regardless of my opinion of her in the first few chapters.

i'm not talking about the trauma making her seem weak it's her attitude, not saying anything or speaking up, she reminds me of the ukes in BL that are meek and "too pure" if that makes sense i forget the word for it. you know maybe weak isn't the right word, naive? maybe idk acc

It doesn't as far as ik but there is that one male character that will show up later in the war who has some interest in maxi but it doesn't go anywhere cuz she already with riftan

hmm okok what about second FLs cause that bothers me a lot since they tend to be aggressive against the og FL

There is no 2nd FL, the closest thing we got to that was the princess but she's rlly not interested in riftan
