I have read the novel. Although, the manhua looks like it has sprinkle of fluff but in the novel, it rarely has one. The gong is really inlove with the shou but mad at him for breaking up so he tried to destroy the shou's life. Its main purpose to destroy his life was so that the shou would regret breaking up with him and beg him to comeback and cling into him once more. But the shou was persistent and never wanting to comeback to him. So he kept on doing destroying the shou's life. After a few chapters, it was shown that the shou had some kind of not being himself (you know being lively) he was looking ill. The gong tried to investigate by looking into the shou's room but none was found. By the way, he forced the shou to live with him due to an agreement relating to the shou's work. There were things happened such as the shou having a controversy. People started to attack on the shou but the gong never helped him because he wants that the shou would call for help which he never did. Later on, pills were found under the bed of the shou. Amidst the shou's controversy and people keep on attacking him, someone called the gong that the pills he found was for depression ( i cant really remember if it was anti depressants but it was a medication used for patients who has depression ) realizing he was too late and kept blaming himself, he ran back to china and saw the shou in his room, I can't really remember what he saw (the shou was still alive) but if my memory serves me right the shou looks like his soulless. I dont if he dumb or what but he became really overprotective and locked the shou (with bodyguards around the house) the shou kept on running away with the help of someone ( the second male lead) but he was always caught. I stopped reading it to this part cause I cant take it anymore and needs to take a break
