You can consume media without condoning it. Other people here enjoy it while being critical but if the only reason youre here is to criticize then you might as well just not be here at all

I'm an adult and I can view media critically. I understand that the subject material is horrible. I understand that all the characters are toxic. I don't like what happens in this story. I'm reading it because I like the art style, I like the writing, and I want to see how it ends. It's messy. People are allowed to like messy things. It's drama. It's entertaining. And it's fiction. You can't just assume that everyone still reading this story is reading it because they condone the actions. And the main issue I have is not with the critical comments, it's with the people bashing others for reading the story.

And no I don't think any of the characters deserved the awful things that happened to them. The only character I like is Gyerin. I'm not so sick that I enjoy this subject material. And it's okay to point it out. But nobody is forcing you to read it and it's annoying when other people tell you you shouldn't be reading it.

Why does this story exist, if not for entertainment? Somebody watching a movie with a lot of violence, murder, drug use, etc. should be bashed for enjoying it? You think I'm going to support abuse because I'm reading a story about it? Huh?? People aren't as influencable as you think. I know it's wrong, but it's a story? These people aren't real?? Who exactly are you defending here? I don't understand the need to get so worked up over a webtoon. I'm not reading this story and thinking what happens is okay. I'm like "wow, that's messed up" but I want to keep reading it. There's nothing deeper, you're just reaching. You don't know me. And you should waste your energy on something else.

No. But this isn't racism, it's stories about relationships. And people are nosy, we want to hear about other peoples' relationships. If my friend was in a relationship like this, I'd be concerned and not entertained by it. But this is fiction and I know the difference between fiction and reality.

Girl I am annoyed. Millions of people have read the book Lolita and enjoyed it, not because of the subject material but because the writing was good. Because it evoked so many emotions. You cant call everyone who read that book a pedophile or a pedophile supporter

I appreciate the respect and I understand what you are saying 100%. It's good that you're speaking out against abuse and rape, but some random manhwa is not an important place to do it. I promise you, the majority of people are not reading this because they support abuse. They are reading it because there is much more to the story. The character development, interpersonal relationships, emotions, etc

I haven't read the final chapters yet. I liked the story a lot in the beginning. I wish it didn't go down the path it did. I would've preferred the characters growing more as people. I'm critical of it, but I did read over 100 chapters of it, so I'm not going to say I didn't enjoy it. There will always be stories where we're not happy with how things turned out. Still, doesn't mean I enjoyed watching these characters get tortured. And I'm not defending it. I don't like that it turned out this way. I was just saying, if you don't like it, you don't have to read it. And at least, for me, this does not affect my reality.
