That was quite confusing...
Not that confusing, imo. I mean the author tried to put far too much info into far too little pages so I get why it can be confusing to people. But the story is just this so far:
The main guy is a student, probably college? Since he's also a programmer that worked on a big VR game called Hellshaft. In that game he was the one in charge of creating the final boss and it's minions. However he and his classmates got transferred into a different world that's exactly the same as the game he was helping in making. He got transported into the body of the final boss he created, while the other classmates seem to have kept their own bodies, but ended up on the good side as the heroes.
And...that's about it.

He's not a college student he is an isolated high school student with no communication skills. He worked part time as a programmer for characters of a famous VR game. His class was supposed to be using VR to experience different cultures but because the Game system uses the same network as the Educational system there was an error and the student ended up in the Game instead.
Everything else is pretty much as u said tho.
