ive never thought fond of poly relationships, and never thought you could really love more then one person at a time but this manga portrays it so nicely and i think you can sort of see that he loves each girl but differently like there all special because he loves them a certain way, it makes me think of the quote "there are all kinds of love in this world but never the same love twice". anyway i really enjoy the manga and i honestly want them all to live happily together when they act like a family everything has a nice feel and when the girls are friendly with eachother.
I think he really like and love the 3rd wife... then the 1st and 2nd , I don't know maybe he love them but it's not the same...

i love everything accept chapter 5 (that angle story, aha wtf) and then i think it was chapter 3 (the baseball guys)
chapter 3 just wasnt my cup of tea and a tad confusing and i was still recovering from crying
then we had chapter 5 which i guess would be fine on its own (its funny you know) as its own oneshot but not after crying again in chapter 4, dear god this manga will be the death of me

the only other possibilities that I can think of right now would be that he somehow killed a living humen (very unlikely) or revealed what will happen after we die to them or somehow overused his authority as a gatekeeper to the underworld (like allowing somebody inside who shouldn't go (in that case it could be a living humen as well) but I think that is not as probable as your guess=)
