HATE the ending, waited anxiously for the updates , loved the final chapter and then THIS happen ... I don't care what anyone says, the ending is HORRIBLE, why did he died???? He suffered so much and finally found happiness ... hate it, hate it, hate it!!!! ┗( T﹏T )┛
I'm with you all the way!! That sucked. Didn't he go to Germany to work with a f*cking specialist in incurable diseases?!?! And he died of an illness. Bullsh*t. I'm just pissy because all I seem to read lately are these shitty ending manga. I'm so tired of the "I'm not gay", "hetero love is better", "homosexuality ends in heartache" manga. Why the extra? Just leave it where it was with the HEA. I get that Japan is facing a huge downturn in their birth rate but why is it mucking up my manga!!! Leave homosexuality alone. The planet is over-run with humans, we could use a few less.
We could use a few a less humans except for Tomohisa... We need Tomohisa and Hideo alive forever!!! Like Cinderella and all that!!! I do not need a sequel if I don't get a happy ending!!! After all their suffering finally a glimpse of hope only to be smashed, dynamited and whatnot with a fucking unnecessary extra. Couldn't it had been an extra on their daily life or something???
My thoughts exactly. Even an "old man" daily life. But no. Once again we see the "morality police" trying to discourage homosexuality as if it were a pop culture choice like music or dress. You can't "stop" being gay anymore than you can stop being human. I've seen too many gay men who have literally killed themselves over their attempts to "stop" being gay.
What also pissed me off was that I tend to come back to fluffy mangas in times of need. So with just one extra (not even a chapter...) She managed to ruin the entire series for me. I can't read the sequel without associating and then getting more depressed. Now, I have a fucking black hole for a heart. But what I did like was that after Hideo made up his mind, he stayed with Tomohisa even after death. I've read mangas where they turn to men because they loved their deceased wife too much to be with another woman or the other way around that they turn to woman for comfort.
What I would like is a Yaoi manga where they raise an adopted kid because they want a family or something. Not because some relative died and left the child alone or a kid from a previous relationship. I want that both if them, as a couple decide to have children and do so. I'm tired of mangas putting as an excuse for homosexuality being wrong the myth that they can't have a family. There are other ways to have family and raise children. Mangas are too influential in Japan to be spreading that kind of bullshit
LMAO I love you!!! I'll come with and do some kotatsu flipping too. I agree though. Manga are too influential to be filling readers heads with lies and bullshit. This is also why I get angry about "hetero is better" storylines. Hetero IS better - for a HETERO, but if you're homosexual trying to be hetero will destroy you. I've had too many friends die trying to be hetero. The shame and guilt they felt either drove them to suicide or some other destructive behavior that eventually killed them like alcohol and drugs.
I also agree that I hate to have a great yaoi or BL manga mucked up by "reality". I read to feel good - sometimes that includes crying my eyes out and that's okay as long as they are tears of joy at the end. But the thinly veiled homophobia makes my stomach knot up.
reading all the bad critics I wasn't eager to read it, but i finally give in and once more I found out that we have to judge it by ourselves!!! It eas a very good reading, ok, I confess I also wanted Michi and Tetsu, but it all makes sense at the end ... can't compare it with Punch up of course but it's worth the reading!!!
Maybe I'm weard but I love this story, it was different from all the lovey dovey ones that's why people dislike it, but it was great because of that
