idk why they changed the plot here like why is hyunjae here ??? he was not here in the novel bc then the next chapter will make a bit less sense bc i’m sure he would have tried to stop yoojin.
well at least yoohyun crying & sobbing moe is SOON. finally, i have been waiting for weeks :>
the artist is really good at storytelling and direction (?) like no panel is wasted and it flows perfectly and seamlessly, the reading experience is just so good. also certain scenes are so unique and well done it feels like watching a film ?? like the scene where the real scene cut to the cctv footage or the one where taeju goes out of his car to comfort mc but the view stays inside the car ?? it was so good. they just give enough information and trust the viewer to connect the dots, don’t over-explain, foreshadow things well,
as i said, its like no panel is wasted. it is conscience and impactful, like watching a well directed and edited film. the author is really good at storyboarding and direction, i hope i can be good like them lol
i am somehow confused and its very possible that i have just forgotten stuff because i read it more than a year ago but wasn’t sung hyunjae not here during the fight ??? and i think yoojin showed up pretty later and they didn’t have time to talk about yoohyun’s missing memories and yoojin’s current abilities- which led to yoohyun’s breakdown when yoojin bluffed the ss class thing…?
i might very well be misremembering, i’ll be back after a reread and update you all.
so i just noticed in the character info pages that miyako was born in kowloon district :o
wasn’t it demolished many years ago ? so is the story set in the 90s ? or does the district still exist ?
i prefer the unofficial translations more… they’re a lot more romantic, especially taeju’s dialogues. and they preserve the feeling of the original more as well…
the only thing i remember is that one of the guys dropped his hall ticket for an exam and the other guy picked it up and gave it to him and it was sort of love at first sight ??
i think a lot of people are misunderstanding the character of ryuka feiya (jellyfish, king of the fog sea) because of how she’s portrayed in the manhwa. she’s one of my favourite characters and also favourite transendants besides young chaos and crescent moon so its a bit sad lol.
the manhwa really antagonises her a lot and puts her in a villainous image and expression when she’s just ?? more like a insane scientist ?? like she is just extremely curious and can come off as tactless, uncaring, and morally dubious (to say the least).
she only joined the filial duty addicts for her own agendas (aka “interesting things”) not because she necessarily cares for the cause. she would help whoever she’ll find interesting or whoever/whichever way can help her see more new stuff.
she reminds me more of ruan mei (hsr) or dorothy (arknights)- if they were a lot more mischievous, morally dubious, and apathetic. we support insane women in stem !
in fact she helps yoojin a lot later down the line too (probably more than immoral children atp ☠)…
