i think because the fact that he may be half zombie, when he’s tasting human flesh it might make him feel a bit sick or hes trying to get used to the feeling because zombies crave on flesh or like because hes part human as well but the zombie taste bud enzymes are still roaming so its about morals?? like hes trying not to rely on it, trying to supress his urges. i dont even know im sticking w pregnancy theory. also, the fact that homeboy like NEVER sleeps (zombie) is also proof of that bc how is that humanly possible
I think the author might've made us misunderstand on purpose for drama and tention. He's probably a zombie of some sort who's body is out of whack, but the getting sick scene was timed to make it seem like the kiss caused it. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense how he's fine with it now and initiating it.
Or maybe human mucus ect. really does make him sick but he's bearing with it because he has feelings, but he shouldn't be able to control when he gets sick so i don't think that's it.
