Yeah you are right, while Aristia was alive the prince hated her because of his jealousy. He hated the fact that she was loved by everyone and when Jieun appeared Duke zena started to give him some kind of poison which reflected his hate towards Aristia even more (author was way to creative with this one). He never loved Jieun, he was just attracted to her. After arista died the castle was shit because Arista was a great and wise ruler, she was just a quiet and shy person haha but she was amazing with doing her job and doing laws so even after 2 Years after her death Jieun was still useless and couldn't do shit so the prince true colors started to appear. Later on he finds out that Aristia did care about him and even prepared his meals and other personal things so he no longer had the image of her being cold and indifferent, its funny cause when he finds to about this he even said "Who are you Aristia?" or something like that. He did regretted her death and started to question every decision he has made and of course he would constantly compare Aristia with Jieun. If im not wrong the prince and Jieun honeymoon phase ended a few months later after Arista death, because he didn't really love her and neither did Jieun, in fact after her death they wouldn't even see each other like at all he started to find Jieun annoying. So yeah he really never loved Jieun

Some readers say that he never loved Aristia in his past life but now this is my own opinion, I do believe he loved her but his jealousy overtook him, in the past life he even had sex with her when he was already with jieun like dude do you love the black hair bitch or not? and also his actions in which he always wanted to torment her to get her attention because she was indifferent towards him (or thats what he thought) but anyways thats my own opinion but I truly believe he loved her but you know fucked up story Line

I think the first princess is evil, and in the beginning it showed the second princess our heroine not getting attention from her father not having magic. But she also said on her father's death bed he never resented the second princess, so I think when she lost her "memory" he started to cars for her more. And I also think he was being manipulated by the first princess and she was claimed the "heroine", but it was all a lie.
