idc if she's supposed to be complex or about her history- idc about the 2 guys either, but acting like they were wrong for judging her when she literally thought "two for two" after the second guy said he wished to date her is stupid. she said she didn't confess and they assumed on their own but she knew damn well what she was doing. again, i couldn't care less about the 2 irrelevant guys but she's just being dumb. i hate when people take out their own issues on others, regardless of their history.
thats because she isnt meant to be a likeable character. her whole thing is that she performs the way she knows would get her the most "love" from the people around her based on her prev experiences. thats why she said she "won" and why its "two for two". what made her mad when she was being confronted wasnt necessarily them judging her for what she did, but them judging her for acting "out of character" when she feels that they didnt even know her real character in the first place. which ofc is also the point, in that she herself does not allow people to know her in an attempt to protect herself from not being accepted, but in doing so, shes also closing herself off from the possibility of finding people who would (basically: her arc is the rewards of being loved/mortifying ordeal of being known quote)
I gotta say, the ending was rather disappointing and felt rushed. Kai in ch 53 establishing he wanted to just stay friends and then a fast forward YEARS later to them being married just felt like a huge cop-out. I'd like to have seen SOMEthing that would have suggested he liked Touma or at least a bit of progression from being in the friend zone to becoming romantic. Also, how we just never saw Masumii handle/deal with her feelings rubbed me the wrong way. Not only was the mlm couple not addressed, the wlw just...disappeared. I'm not mad or anything that Masumi turned out to be bi since she gave me that impression from the beginning but it was kind of like whiplash seeing her married with a husband in the fast forward when a chapter ago she was in distress about her feelings for Kuze. Anyways, it kind of just felt like a waste to read, especially considering I had high hopes for it. It wasn't bad but the ending really negatively affected my reading experience.
Oh, my God! I feel exactly the same about everything you brought up. Thank you for saying it. I thought the author did too much telling and not enough showing. And the worst part about all the dialog, for me is that the conversations just kept going round and round to nowhere. I really hated it. These characters were inside their heads way too much.
I hate that Cheng Ge is taking this out on Luo Xiao Mao like it was his fault, it’s not!! He even said the car didn’t have a license plate so it was clearly deliberate and he didn’t see the car coming. It’s a bad situation all around but his hostility when Cheng ge KNOWS it’s not his fault is more harmful that helpful and quite frankly, useless.

I mean when the guy you love and a child you care for is in surgery. some people aren’t able to think rationally and they start lashing out. Cheng Ge has a temperament so he is obviously gonna get mad. I’m not saying it’s nice. But I’m saying it’s perfectly normal for him to be acting that way. And it’s not normal for someone to expect him to be rational.
Even the friend isn’t rational and is blaming himself. Don’t try to say it’s useless until you’re waiting outside an emergency room with family in surgery and you are lost and have no abilities to do anything.
I’m sorry if I’m taking it seriously and personally but I speak from experience
No no, I understand very well that’s it’s a completely normal emotion to have and it’s natural to be overcome with anger or sadness but threatening to kill him?? That’s a line that should be drawn. He obviously feels remorseful and I will admit, the useless part was an unecessary comment but threatening to kill him won’t help the situation at all and just makes it worse. I get he’s upset about the man he lives and his kid being hurt but so is Luo Xiao Mao, I mean he’s known them even longer, since wo wo was a kid so you can imagine the amount of guilt and self-hatred as well as worrying he is feeling. Just because Cheng ge is feeling (understandably) upset, it didn’t give him the right to invalidate Luo Xiao Mao’s feelings and certainly doesn’t give him the right to threaten death.
if it were the real-world, yeah, she’d need to stand up and get a life and he’d be a jerk but it’s not…why do yall keep commenting the obvious??
i mean people can feel however they feel reading is meant to make you feel something isn’t it..?? so why does it matter lololol
there is no substance to her character, her whole personality is literally that she loves her bf and that is a common trope in shoujo manga which is honestly insulting to women bc it’s as though they only see girls as merchandises to support and uplift men
theres nothing satisfying about reading this even if its fiction id rather not an mc this spineless lol
